Tucked away in Ladbroke Grove on the Golborne Road, Palki serves up authentic curries without using a lot of ghee, and the family-run service will make you nostalgic for the days when all good local Indian restaurants were this easy to love. One of the best Indian restaurants left in the neighbourhood, Palki is popular with an eclectic W10 crowd that includes everyone from hipsters on a budget through to well-heeled curry lovers and local fashion designers, and the colourful artworks and friendly staff will keep you coming back for more.

The food at Palki is really good great flavours and extremely reasonable prices !! Cant wait to go again my new fave.

Excellent service at this gem of an Indian restaurant. Food is fresh and incredibly tasty, service is prompt and personal and the value is incredible. £33 for popadoms, starters, Mains and sides for two people. What else is there to say? Our favourite in this area!

Really good, really nice, well attended and well recommended for owner. Don't worry for the 'spicy food', they manage very well different spicy 'grades'. We recommend it, you should try it. We were in London for holidays and we will come back again to eat in Palki :)

Palki is an excellent Indian restaurant with very good prices and delicious food. We did not appreciate the colored 'mood' lighting in the restaurant and found it a bit tacky and poorly displayed the food. Blue mood lighting like this presents what would otherwise look delicious, in an almost inedible brown color. Change the lights, keep the food and great prices. And don't speak rudely to the waitstaff. Just because it isn't run by long-time British-Londoners does NOT give you the right to speak rudely.

This is a solid neighbourhood Indian. Exceptional value for the quality received - particularly when you consider it is BYOB. Staff were friendly and attentive all evening and went the extra mile to make a masala tea for us. Not the flashiest spot in town, but a classic, reliable spot for wholesome curries.

We visited Palki for the first time last week. Great place, genuinely friendly staff and excellent food. Also very good value for money, which certainly helps. We chose a selection of dishes that all had their own distinct flavours, unlike some places where it can be difficult to tell the difference between one dish and another. I even found myself liking okra which normally doesn't do anything for me. When you visit - and make sure that's a when not an if - make sure to order some chef's specials and ask for the house recommendations, and be ready to settle in for a good evening with hospitable people and excellent food. You can even take your own wine if you wish. Recommended for anything from a romantic date night to a large family get together and pretty much anything in between. Those looking for a larger booking could do well to rent the downstairs space which looks like it could comfortably host about 50 sitting down.

I have been coming to the Palki in Notting Hill for years now, and it has always been a pleasure. Last night I brought a party of four friends and we had a feast. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared. and the service, as always was charming. I found it exceptional value for money too. Highly recommended.

Palki is not in a super area and nor does it look super smart but the food and service are outstanding. We have been twice and highly recomend.
