Palominos Restaurant expands to the United States with the opening of its new location in McAllen, Texas. Recognized as one of the best steakhouses offering fine Sonoran-style steaks in Mexico, Palominos boasts over 50 years of experience and 11 locations in Mexico.     This place has a very ambient atmosphere. I reserved a private event here and I am 100% they did not miss. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and the drinks and food are outstanding. Tip your hostess and server. The service here is at its highest point.

    The experience was good, but not great. Overall, I would say that I have had better food for half the price. My wife and I spent $175 (with the suggested tip amount) for 2 cocktails and an entree for each of us. It was difficult to hear each other with "normal voices". The service was good. However, their definition of medium and mine are different. I ordered filet mignon, medium, and it came to me slightly uncooked in the middle and very red. They did a nice job in searing the steak. Sent the steak back, and they brought me another that was slightly more cooked, but then I lost the side dishes from my original plate that were ordered separately. Would I go back, yes. Would I go out of my way to go back, not likely.
