   Server: Sammie Review: Absolute Legend Give him a Raise. Food was absolutely wonderful, great anniversary experience! Highly recommend the Pork Belly! Smoking Jacket cocktail was also on point, but so was everything else.

   My Filet Oscar was overcooked (requested medium and it was medium well in center and well done toward the outside). Atmosphere, son’s Bison & fries, sausage appetizer, and service was very good.

   I really enjoyed the casual and warm atmosphere. Fabulous cocktails, an extensive wine list, and the biggest piece of cake I’ve ever seen! Wagyu beef special was a treat at a good price and the curry was a tasty vegan option. Three of us shared the signature carrot cake and it still took three to-go boxes to pack up the leftovers!

   We made a reservation because it’s Tuesday, and Tuesday is beef and bison prime rib night. We were really disappointed that they didn’t have bison. It wasn’t that they had sold out, they simply didn’t have it tonight. But we took a breath and ordered the beef prime rib. However, our waitress didn’t even ask us about sides. We probably would’ve ordered potatoes or a green vegetable. Instead, we got our prime rib with no sides at all. Imagine our surprise! I wish I could say this is the first time we’ve been disappointed. I keep trying togive them another chance. It’s not working out well.

   We have noticed that American restaurants are quite noisy. On New Year's Eve we were seated at a very nice table. There was some background music but it was pretty mild. Around 6:45 ish the music got loud and too frantic. When I asked the waitperson if the music could be turned down "they " said the owner just turned it up and changed the station as he wanted a lively atmosphere. I thought that to be very sad as now we couldn't really hold a conversation and there was this false sense of aliveness. I think that we are going in the wrong direction. I would rather have a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere than a frantic atmosphere. I wish were Americans could see that this is weird. The food is good here, service too but too loud for my taste.

    I love this dining room. And the food is excellent. Our weight staff was exceedingly friendly, and helpful. However, the staff seemed stretched between too many tables and through no fault of their own, many minutes went by without us seeing our waitress. Additionally, the food was a bit slow in coming out. This has been a chronic problem with Pangea, particularly on busy nights. Nevertheless, will be back. It’s a delightful place.
