   While we enjoyed the neighborhood restaurant feel and the service was excellent, the food was mediocre at best. The sauteed calamari wasn't as tasty as we've had at other restaurants, and the too-plentiful golden raisins in the dish would be better suited to something other than calamari. The eggplant appetizer was pretty good, but the sauce on the pizza tasted like it came out of a can. We picked the restaurant because of the location and it was convenient for us, but there are better restaurants in the area, so we won't be returning.

While I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the ambiance and service at Pappardella, i am devastated and sorry that the food was disappointing. the calamari is a very popular dish. i will discuss with the chef to observe if the proportions are correct. I can assure that our tomato sauce is home made every day since we opened in 1983. If you are in our neighborhood, I would love for you to take another chance on Pappardella.

   I go here regularly because the food is exceptional (not ordinary), it's not too loud, there are no tv screens, and I can have a relaxed conversation with my guest(s). Service is good. High ceilings give an airy feel. There are plenty of choices in the area, but this is my favorite place to eat.

   Great neighborhood gem of a restaurant. Food was delicious. Vibe is great - I imagine anyone who lives locally would have this in their top choices for great Italian food!

   We booked it because it was a block away from the Beacon theater little do we know the food was going to be spectacular our waiter was awesome and the food was even better. We’ll definitely be back.

   Disappointed that restaurant allowed a patron with a very small dog to sit at table near us. I thought only service dogs could enter restaurants. This dog was a lap dog.

   Amazing! Me and my lady make it a point to come from RI as many times a year as we can. Service is always great, friendly staff even on a busy Sat night. Indoor or outdoor seating is great. My lady dreams of the Pappardelle Funghi E Tartufo for weeks every time we leave. Can’t wait to return.

    This is a classic Roman trattoria. The food is mostly delicious. The servers are delightful. I always feel welcome when I visit
