The separate bar located across a brick enclosed pathway was quaint and the drinks were done well. The reservation was right on time and service was really nice. Our waitress was a gem, and checked in just enough. The meals (4) total, were all as ordered, came out nicely timed (following starters and salads/soups), and prepared/plated well. Definitely a spot to recommend and return to.

We were there for Christmas Eve. The prix fix menu featured Cornish Chan, glazed ham, and a vegetarian dish. The appetizers included a salad and mushroom soup. The side vegetables included a roasted root vegetable and broccolini. Of these there was not one that was satisfying. The Cornish hen was a half portion and was dry and tasteless. The glazed ham was a little different than sliced luncheon meat that you get in a grocery store and it was chewy without much sophistication. The roasted root vegetables were supposed to include beets and others, but turned out to be a few tasteless radishes. The broccolini was overcooked and again, lacking in flavor. The salad had minimal dressing on it and might’ve been better with a normal amount of dressing. All in all for four people, we spent nearly $600 which included two glasses of wine and one mock cocktail. Outrageous, considering the poor quality of the food! Will not go back…

Had a wonderful time at Paseo. Local family ordered burgers (for the kiddos; they also liked the fries and mac-n-cheese), scallops, steak and duck dishes. Duck dish was tough to cut and eat, but everything else was wonderful!

What a pleasant surprise to find Paseo, in Mill Valley. It is hidden on a paseo (hence, the name), off the street, but well worth finding this gem. Personally, finding a restaurant that serves a farm grown local Pork Chop with the bone in is a success, but to find one that serves a Chop perfectly cooked, hot on arrival, and absolutely delicious is wonderful. My wife and family ordered the Seared Ahi, and the Mac and Cheese--both were exceptional. And the service was first rate--very attentive. We even met the wonderful chef, Anjelica (sp?), who was warm and wonderful.

Very well prepared Parker house rolls, beet salad, scallops and duck breast and salted chocolate fondant. Classy service, with a visit from the manager. Pricing was fair. Good wine service from an excellent list that even included a few bargains. Fireside dining was the perfect antidote for a rainy night.

We've eaten here before many years ago and enjoyed it then, so decided to come back for our Thanksgiving meal. If we were paying just for the ambience, I would say that's the best part. Our Thanksgiving meal, a set price, was just OK. We ordered the turkey for our main entree, and while it was a good-sized serving, we didn't get any turkey breast; it was all dark meat that wasn't easy to cut or chew. All the side dishes served were good, but was it worth the 95.00 per person price? Not really. Again, the service was good and it's a really cute restaurant that feels warm and cozy (best part), and we will probably come back again and give it another try when there's a regular menu. All in all, we enjoyed the evening with just a few disappointments with the food.

Thanksgiving menu was priced at $95 per person so we expected a top notch experience for three of us. All food was cold and two of us were given 2 cold, boney legs of turkey with barely any meat, the type you might use to make stock from. We had to ask for edible meat and when the manger brought out the sliced meat two separate times (cold with cakey gravy) he made us feel bad for asking and said "oh lucky you now you have leftovers". Pumpkin pie was good, but the apple crisp was cold and tasted old. We gently informed our server of all of this and we're brushed off. It seemed they did not want to be there. We ended up paying over $400 for a terrible meal. We love supporting Mill Valley restaurants, but sadly we will not go back.

Best last minute thanksgiving dinner plans & dining experience ! Service was outstanding, ambiance was comfortable & quaint. We sat by the fireplace inside. Drinks were really good! Cant say enough good things about thanksgiving dinner. So so good! We didnt want to leave so we hung out in the bar area after we ate & listened to live music for a bit. Its been a while since we had been to Paseo, so it was nice to dine there again!

Came for a fun dining experience, and instead ended up in a freezing, empty room. Food does not justify the price, and the restaurant screwed up our order. Overall a surprisingly negative and unpleasant experience. Do not recommend.
