    I made reservations on line for a wine pairing and was asked twice by email from them to confirm. Then the day of the event I was told that they do not take reservations and that they only thought about having a wine pairing and then decided not to because they couldn't get enough reservations. Time and money was spent on my part and their neglectgence was inexcusable. Never will ever recommend this place. If I can give less than one star. I would.

    We went there on Mother’s Day and had a reservation at 2:30 pm. We got there at was greeted by no one. We had to go around the restaurant until a man in a booth told me that kitchen closed at 2:00 pm. The. After telling him we had a reservation he gets up and gets a waiter. The waiter came out so frazzled saying the kitchen closed at 2 and he don’t know how the system let us make a reservation. He couldn’t explain anything to the point that is seemed like a lie. The front desk receptionist at the hotel side didn’t even know the kitchen closes at 2, which is another red flag. Then we looked at the hours and the restaurants hours and it said it was open to 10pm. For someone who calls there self the all day cafe, closing at 2pm on Mother’s Day while letting people make reservation. It was not a good experience

    Skip this restaurant. Melissa our server was the only redeeming quality. The food was cold and lacked flavor.

    The decor is nice. We were the first to arrive around 11 am. We ordered breakfast brunch and our items were Lukewarm. I ended up asking for my grits to be warmed up more. I was given new hot grits. The temp of the food just made this a less than enjoyable experience. Not sure if I’d return.

    We went at night when they had a limited menu. Salad had house made croutons…loved they take the time to do that. Gumbo and cheese grits were good. I asked for my double cut pork chop to be MR. It was raw in the middle which I’m pretty sure was because it was cooked only on the hot part of the grill and they don’t know about finishing or starting in an oven. I butterflied it at the table and they were happy to regrill it for me. I’d ask them to do it that way from the beginning next time. The really curious thing was that the bread pudding was burnt all across the bottom. Pretty sure they didn’t use a water bath when they baked it. Servers were all very friendly. For a relaxing Friday night, nothing too special, I’d go again. Just be prepared that the evening kitchen staff may not be as well trained as the full menu suggests

    I really wanted to like this place but fell short in all areas. We first ordered simple drinks, gin & tonic and a lemon drop martini. The martini glass was half full and no sugar rim or lemon slice. No lime slice in my drink. We ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters and I don’t think they were even grilled. They were Luke warm at best and the bread was not toasted. Think they were just heated up in an oven. My wife ordered the Chicken Fricassee which, according to the menu, was supposed be a breast but was almost all dark meat. I ordered the redfish which was supposed to have crayfish & andouille in it but neither was present. The fish was good though. If the description on the menu doesn’t match what you get, what’s the point? The interior was well it and nicely laid out. If they don’t get their act together, it won’t last. There is just too many great choices within walking distance of this place that are way better. Hope they do better.
