Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu containing all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.

Founder and Head Cook Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station.

We can cater to private events, garden parties, and celebration days. We do a maximum of 12-15 events throughout the year due to the restaurant being busy on most weekends. Our private events start from £ 35 per person with a minimum of 25 guests where we bring our restaruant to your home.

Food was superb would highly recommend a visit and will be planning to go back soon. Will they had a restaurant in Brentwood.

We went as a group of 9 ladies The starters arrived soon but the thali we ordered 1V and 1NV arrived an hour later . Out of all the dishes in the thali maybe 2-3 were good. The NV thali group found it a bit salty. The naans were good but the rotis were hard and dry . The lassi was good. We had tea at the end and this had a lovely authentic taste. The panni pooris tasted old and the fillings were okay ish. The desserts in the thali the gulab jamoon tasted stale and old. The ? carrot halwa was not nice at all. It tasted like carrot cooked in milk!!! Disappointing 😞 Overall it was an overrated expensive experience just as one off that could be tried for the heck of it. Maybe the other branch might be different.

Very good, authentic tasting food. We had the alu ticking and keeps with egg. We also had the brinjal which was fine but not as good as the other dishes.. Service was very sweetly done. I didn't like the chai but they didn't charge me for it. Cosy place, just a few minutes from Lyric Hammersmith. We had tight timelines for a pre-theatre meal but they handled it perfectly.

The food was reasonable, my wife is Punjabi and thought that it was OK but not great, but it was quite expensive for what we got. I guess if you eat in Hammersmith that's what you pay!

I eat here regularly and order take out too. Consistently excellent. Best eaterie in West London.

Thank you for your feedback! We always aim to provide an experience that’s worth every penny… but it seems you did not read our menu properly. We like to think of the back of the menu as our secret recipe for happiness. It states "The CTO would like to make your journey memorable. Our aim is to make customers for life and avoid negative reviews so please speak to us and we will make it right " The Thali's can be topped up on request so no one leaves hungry. We want customers to talk to us when the flames are still warm, not after they’ve burned out!
