The food was average, despite a wide variety of options. Unfortunately, many of the dishes seemed overpriced for what they offered. Having dined at exceptional establishments worldwide, we found nothing here remarkable enough to justify the price point. While great service can often elevate an experience, the service here fell short. Our server seemed more engaged in conversation with a coworker than attending to our table, forcing us to stand and request the check—a simple wave should have sufficed. It was especially disappointing given that we were her only table in an otherwise practically empty restaurant. There were no drink refills, no attentiveness, and certainly no sense of urgency or precision. Regrettably, I would not be inclined to return, as there are superior dining options nearby at this price point. To compete, the restaurant might consider adding a few different entrees to the menu, rethinking appetizers (the mac and cheese, though flavorful, would work better as a shareable side, as seen in most steakhouses), and training staff to deliver service befitting a high-end establishment. I think this is really what made it a bad experience. When service misses the market, there’s nothing the kitchen can do that would make it ok. We were really agitated. That said, the ambiance is stunning, and the flavor profiles were pleasant on most items we tried. However, for the upscale niche this restaurant aims to occupy, more refinement is needed to truly stand out. Seemless service, and some tweaks to the menu could make this place really soar.

SCAMMING STAFF RUINED OUR NIGHT I had high hopes for PB Brasserie, but my experience on November 29th 2024 was nothing short of a disaster due to two staff members, GABRIELLA and BELLA, who were unprofessional and appeared to attempt to overcharge us. Gabriella got my order wrong, delayed our cocktails by 40 minutes, and failed to communicate basic issues like the Béarnaise sauce being unavailable. She also served incorrect steaks, missed entrees, and blamed the kitchen for everything. When we questioned the bill, which was supposed to have adjustments for the wrong steaks, Bella approached us rudely, implying we were trying to scam the restaurant. Despite promises to fix the charges, we were still billed the full amount until another staff member stepped in. What should’ve been a celebratory evening turned into an incredibly stressful experience. While PB Brasserie has a nice atmosphere, the unprofessional and deceitful behaviour of the staff makes it impossible to recommend. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK BEING SCAMMED.

We just enjoyed a beautiful Wednesday date at PB for our 22nd wedding anniversary. There was live Jazz, great food and good company. This is the new spot in Harlem.

The place is very clean, it was a Tuesday evening and it was not busy at all. Great server. Very good food. Everything was extremely fresh. Other than their odd white wine, it was basically excellent.
