The ambience was nice! But very overpriced for what was given. The pastries were just okay, and you can only get one flavor of tea which is a very ridiculous for the price. $60 worth of value max

Amazing experience. Came for the cherry blossom tea and was utterly impressed. The staff took great care of our table, the food was phenomenal and the tea was lovely. The ambiance of the violin set the perfect mood for a wonderful tea! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Waldorf does a beautiful high tea. We enjoyed the seasonal Cherry Blossom high tea which came with cherry infused sandwiches and cakes. The food was delicious, the waiter was attentive and friendly. The only down side is that it is inside the large atrium area of the hotel, so not as intimate as I would have hoped, it got a little loud with families and visitors walking through the lobby. There were also quite a few women gathering in groups for birthdays and wedding showers. I love the way Peacock Alley was decorated for the Cherry Blossom festival. There is a large ornamental (fake) blooming cherry tree in the center of Peacock Alley, many people were taking photos beneath it. There was a harpist who played for about 90 minutes, which contributed to the high tea atmosphere. Once the harpist left, then the bar lapping music started pumping, which was a little incongruous, there is a large bar at the one end of the atrium, so strange to have High Tea and bar goers in the same relative space. I guess aim just more used to the ladies’ parlor at the Ritz Carlton in Boston. My husband and I really enjoyed our tea. It felt like a decent value, keep in mind that downtown DC dining is expensive. We enjoyed our time and the food, I recommended it to my friends who might be looking for a fun way to celebrate a special occasion or just to celebrate the cherry blossoms blooming.

The cherry blossom themed tea was a lovely experience. Yes - it is overpriced for type of food you receive but you are also paying for the ambience and overall experience. There were plenty of sweet treats and we were given boxes to bring home the leftovers. The savory treats were delicious and different from other teas I have been to. My favorite was the lemon scone with the Devonshire cream, lemon curd, and cherry blossom jelly.

The experience was phenomenal. The food and tea was presented beautifully, and the harpist and cherry blossom tree motif added to the ambiance. A must do in Washington DC!

If ambiance and service are your favorite part of a meal, then this is your paradise. My daughter and I had high tea here, and it's an experience we will not easily forget. Mufasa delivered one of the most delightful dining experiences I've had. He was so kind and accommodating to my child. The dining space was exquisite with the cherry blossom decor. It transported you to an ethereal place. The harpest was lovely as well. The food was good, especially the Prosciutto sandwich and the bruschetta on the savory side. The pistachios macaron was the best texture I've had. The well-balanced strawberry puff and moist poppyseed scone were also delectable. Though beautiful, there were items we did not enjoy, like the chicken sandwich. It was bland and messy. The strawberry scone had an intoxicating smell, but the pronounced flavor was sugar. The teas were lovely, but they only had two herbal offerings if you were steering clear of caffeine. The house proscecco tasted fresh and was pleasurable to sip. The service and the atmosphere were definitely something to experience, and the highlights from the tower items were stellar.

We had a wonderful Cherry Blossom tea experience to celebrate a friends birthday. Food & service worth both exceptional, and they were able to hand a gluten & dairy allergy easily. Highly recommend!
