   We were seated in the corner which was lovely and full of natural light. The restaurant was disarmingly quiet which I wasn't expecting even for a Tuesday and we were one of two tables. The fresh oysters were lovely, but the crispy buffalo oyster was lost in the coating and ranch dressing which over powered everything. The chalkstream trout tartare was ok but not very well balanced and could have done with more acidity to offset the richness and yolk. The hake kyiv was a lovely dish and a bit more sating after the lighter dishes as part of the sharing set menu. £124 including service and two cocktails is pretty good these days, but for sharing plates there is better value. The large plates sound lovely but start at 27 and go up to 30 which is quite steep.

   Quality food served in an innovative way. We had the Saturday set menu (£30/head) and had four taster dishes - all outstanding. Lovely venue, modern and fun.

   This is an exceptional experience for fish lovers. The oysters were very fresh and definitely a treat au natural. The most surprising dish was the squid lasagna which was superb. We felt that it would be possible to choose anything on the menu and be delighted. I can’t recommend it highly enough and won’t be surprised when it gets its star!

    On arrival, the atmosphere was lively and quite loud. Our waitress was fabulous, very attentive and clearly understood how to help us make the most of our visit. Great advice on choices and quantities. We were well looked after, without being hassled. She even offered to turn the music down a little as we were sat right under the speakers! The food was delicious, every mouthful a treat. We shared dishes from each section of the menu (apart from dessert….too full!) It was a perfect quantity and delivered at the perfect pace. We were pleasantly surprised by the cost, it was great value for a great evening. One small note, it was very difficult to read the menu, due to the low lighting and the colour and print on the menu……….but we still managed to order the most delightful food!
