The food and ambiance here is AMAZING. Do not leave without getting the yeast rolls because they are life changing. Our server seemed to get annoyed at us at times but she was efficient in taking orders and delivering food! The sommelier was also great with recommendations and helped us find a new wine to please everyone’s palates! We truly love the food here! We will be back.

Upon seating, we found the restaurant to be quite chilly. We never took off our coats the entire time that we were there. We saw many others wearing coats throughout their meals as well. That’s off putting that staff could clearly see people dressed as if they were outside - but were seated inside. For women, in particular, this is rather disappointing. My wife had chosen a pretty outfit to wear out, but it remained under wraps the entire time we were seated. Our waitress, Nicole, is a great asset to Peppervine. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She sent the house sommelier to our table with a digital wine list. I hope that this young woman was just having a bad night because she was utterly chaotic. We had to take a deep breath after she left the table. We never saw the wine bottle menu except for the couple of highlighted bottles that the som chose for us based on our preferences. I am also a certified sommelier. This arrangement was completely unsatisfactory for us. I’d have preferred to calmly select a wine from a list with my wife. The worst part came after she brought out the bottle that we selected and offered to decant it. I received a sample taste pour and then she left in a hurry - never to return to the table again the entire evening. I suspect that she was well aware that the bottle of Brunello was freezing cold - as in low 40s. That’s standard refrigerator temperature. At this temp, red wine tastes like grape juice. She no doubt saw us holding our glasses with hands cupped around the wine to try and warm it up to drink it. Remember how we were cold inside and had coats on the whole time? Now we froze our hands trying to make the wine drinkable. There’s definitely opportunities for improvement here.

The restaurant is beautiful and our service was outstanding! They had a wine sommelier along with our server. We had a big family dinner here and stayed for awhile, never felt rushed. Every staff member was kind and welcoming. The menu is fairly priced, the yeast rolls and wine were amazing. Now the food…unfortunately lacks flavor! The bolognese was pretty bland, the pork chop was very salty, and the scallops were oddly mushy. We aren’t a very picky group but something was just very off. I may have to return and try a different dish but if you’re looking for a meal bursting with flavor, this probably isn’t the place!

We just moved to Charlotte. The restaurant came highly recommended by several friends. It did not disappoint. We shared our wedding anniversary dinner there 11/15/24 They graciously brought 2 glasses of champagne for us to celebrate. We appreciated their kindness and excellent customer service / recognition of our special occasion. We selected the prix fix menu and each choice was outstanding. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our server (Justice) was phenomenal! The restaurant is upscale without being stuffy and pretentious. Cocktails were excellent (taste and presentation) and the food was excellent. Portions (even large plates) are on the small side so plan accordingly. Justice’s recommendation of 1 small plate and 1 large plate per person was spot-on. Great restaurant for a special occasion or business meeting.

The food was awesome. GET THE BREAD! The server, Jasmine, was new at the job (although had other restaurant job experiences) and she was just the best! The fried oysters were great! GET THE BREAD though! Not rushed in the least. And if you can't figure out what you'd like for dessert, GET THE BREAD! Atmosphere is wonderful. And SO WAS THE BREAD!
