Perch is an intimate fine dining restaurant focusing on Canadian ingredients, ethical and sustainable products.
Awarded as the 4th Best New Canadian Restaurant 2022 by Enroute, and #85 for Canada's Best Restaurants 2023. With the dining room facing into the wide open kitchen offering a nine course tasting menu and a bar focusing on unique cocktails and natural wines.

Nine Course tasting menu is $145 for food menu
Beverage Pairing is $100 per person (optional)
Non-Alcoholic Beverage Pairing is $75 per person (optional)

    Our 9 course tasting menu is $145 per person. We suggest allowing 3 hours for your meal. We also offer a beverage pairing at an additional charge, we also have plenty of by the glass options for wine, beer, cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails. The whole table must do the tasting menu, we do not offer an a la carte option. We are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions with 48 hours notice.

    We'll be popping up at Adega Wine Bar (9C Division Blvd, Consecon) in Prince Edward County. Come enjoy a 5 course tasting menu by Perch, and a wine pairing by Adega as they look to pop some of their top tier bottles! Cost of the dinner with the wine pairing is $139 per person. There will be a small cocktail list by Perch as well, available at an extra cost. There is a $50 deposit that is non-refundable at time of booking that will be taken off your bill at the restaurant. Due to the nature of this event we can't accommodate dietary restrictions if not mentioned at time of booking.

  • Black Tartan x Perch Collaboration

    With Perch and Black Tartan both celebrating anniversaries in November 2024 we decided to celebrate by doing a two day collaboration dinner, a "home and home". On Nov. 28, Black Tartan will be joining us at Perch for an 8 course tasting menu (4 courses each) with optional beverage pairing. Dinner starts at 7pm for the entire room. Our reservations are set for 6:15, 6:30, and 6:45 so that you have time to get settled and enjoy a pre dinner drink if you'd like. Due to the nature of this event we will not be accepting dietary restrictions. This reservation is for Thursday the 28th at Perch Restaurant. The food is $145 per person, and the optional pairing will be $90. Both days will be the same menu, just done in our respective restaurants.

    We went for the 9-course tasting menu to celebrate a birthday. The staff was very attentive, polite, and considerate of our experience. A special shout-out to the Beverage Manager and the General Manager, who guided us through the experience and made sure we were well looked after. The menu was very lovely, with many seafood options. There were a couple of standing-out dishes that really impressed us with the chef's creativity.

    This is an absolute experience, must try food. You have to try their wine pairings and non-alcoholic pairing as they have a wonderful pairing for each course that is unique and well placed.

    9 course tasting menu @perchottawa, best fine dining experience in Ottawa! Justin & Amanda with their team have designed, curated, and executed the perfect culinary creations. While they focus on eco sustainability, Canadian ingredients, and ethical practices there is no short cut on vivid taste, appeal, or ingenuity. Our table also enjoyed exquisite experiences that were gluten free and vegan to quite discerning patrons who loved that all dishes were created on their own merit without omission. The non-alcoholic drink pairing was to perfection and for me, astonishingly diverse, creative and on point to balance the palette. It’s noteworthy to mention even dishes & drinks transformed as you experienced it. The kitchen, while half the restaurant space, and amid muted colours, keeps the focus on the dishes with ambient entertainment. Our experience of eating is a taking in of our environment visually, acoustically, our company, quality of ingredients, masterful culinary expertise, balanced tasteful options combined with exquisite descriptions and pairings. Perch has done it and it is appreciated. Whether you engage with the Chefs preparing each dish in front of you in a seamless stream of clockwork precision or chat in your comfy chair with guests, it’s delightful in a space devoid of any typical kitchen chaos. The vision of this team is wide, politically grounded, and focused on collaboration in an industry that’s had these challenges. Look for Chef Justin’s Perch cookbook next year.     As always the staff and food were excellent. The attention to detail and conversations around courses and alcohol tastings was excellent. Such a creative menu using the best of what Canada has to offer.

    We have visited Perch since its opening once or twice a year to celebrate major moments, e.g., birthday or anniversary, and we keep coming back! The food and drink pairing is always a culinary journey, which we enjoy immensely. The service is top notch yet friendly and always spot on. They address my gluten sensitivity without losing a beat in terms of the flavors and complexity of their plates. This is not a cheap meal. However, in an era where a bland, overcooked burger and a pint now costs upwards of $40 , this meal and dining experience are definitely worth avoiding lesser restaurants and the pubs altogether and saving up for it. Perch is a memorable evening out worth the wait and every penny. Thank you.
