We love Persian food having lived in Tehran for 3 years back in the days of the Shah. The Persian room has the most authentic menu, recipes, taste and ambiance in Arizona. Our recent visit was perfect in every respect with prompt seating, excellent service and our favorite dishes. We hosted friends and ordered the Persian Platter plus extra skewers and also an order of Geimeh stew to round things out. If you like family style in the Persian tradition as we do. The Persian Room is very acommodating.

Found a huge long hair in our salad. Told the waiter after we paid the bill. Was there with another couple and did not say anything in front of the other couple. I did not want to ruin this beautiful dinner. I have eaten at this place a 1000 times and that never happened before.

This was our second visit to the Persian room, the first for our adult children. When they showed us to our table, I asked the Host if there was a booth available and he said no. The restaurant was about 1/3 full and we could see two booths from our table that remained empty the entire time during our 2 hour lunch. When we finally got waited on, we ordered drinks and a few minutes later our appetizers. We then ordered our entrees that came shortly after our appetizers which meant our table was overly crowded. I ordered the Cornish hen which I'd had before. This time the Cornish hen was so overcooked and dry that I couldn't even cut it or chew it. It was completely black on the bottom and was like eating charcoal. It then took us ten minutes to get the waiter to come over after asking two different people to send him over. He then arrived and offered a different entree which I ordered. It showed up 20 minutes later. It took at least 15 minutes to get a drink each time one was ordered. Much of the waitstaff was over standing in the corner at the beverage station. The other three entrees were pretty good and they didn't have the problem of not being prepared well. We will most likely give them another chance, but, it will be a while!

The service was what to be expected at a fine place like this. Our server provided friendly and good suggestions on what to order. The flavors of the food were unique to us because we had not experienced food like this. We ordered large plates of the suggested items so the six of us could share the food family style. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Fantastic! Eric really made an effort to make it a special night as he seated us at a great location. Have been to the Persian Room a dozen tines and it has been outstanding each and every time!
