   Lovely Valentine's Day pre fix dinner, wonderful food. Wait time was a bit long between appetizers and the main course, but the restaurant was fairly packed for the holiday, so that was understandable

   We were here for dinner on New Years' Eve. I waited at the bar for our table and while my husband parked the car. I was never offered a drink. We sat down and after 20 minutes of no server offering drinks or even acknowledging us, my husband inquired and was told someone would be over right away. after 5 - 10 more minutes, a gentleman came over. He was clearly not a waiter, and didn't seem to know anything about the drinks. However, he brought them over fairly quickly and they were quite good. He then asked if we were ready to order, but first announced that they were out of the rack of lamb, which was what both my husband and I had planned to order. It was a price-fixed limited menu, and there was no substitute for the lamb, which was the most elaborate dish on the menu. This was the final straw. My husband called another restaurant who fit us in, and we left the restaurant. There was no apology or any effort to make things right. We won't be going back.

   I’ve visited Peter Pratt's a few times over the years, and it used to be a great spot with both delicious food and good service. However, my recent experience on New Year’s Eve was disappointing. The restaurant is now under new management, and the menu no longer fits the vibe of the place. The options were limited, and the quality of the food was lacking. Some dishes were overcooked, others undercooked, and several items, including sides and chicken, were served cold. The rack of lamb was thin and fatty with very to little meat and the chicken was dry. Unfortunately, the service was also subpar. While the staff was friendly, the appetizer plates were left on our table for a long time, and the main courses arrived just as we were about to ask someone to clear the table. We ordered Negronis, but they were watered down. We had to request water several times, and no one checked in to offer drinks until too late. Additionally, the plates were oversized, making it difficult for both our group and the server to navigate the table. At one point, the server almost hit my aunt in the face while trying to serve me at the other end of the table. In addition, the menu on the website did not note that the dinner was a prefix menu but that was the case once we were at the table. Peter Pratt’s has a lot of charm as a historic location, and it has the potential to be a special place for dining. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to expectations. I hope they can get back on track.

    An excellent but somewhat overpriced New Year's Eve meal. The service was very good. The wait staff was very cordial. The building is very old. There is both good and bad that comes with that. The restaurant was crowded, so the parking lot was a bit of a challenge. Better lighting in the parking lot is needed. I will definitely return.
