Part neighborhood café, part energetic bistro, Petite Cerise is located in a bright and lively historic corner space in Shaw/Mount Vernon Triangle. Petite Cerise features separate à la carte menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In addition, Petite Cerise has a Coffee Counter open Tuesday - Friday opening at 8am serving classic coffee and espresso preparations, housemade pastries, and other breakfast items to go or sit down.

Dinner offers both an à la carte menu along with a Prix Fixe option. The focus in the evening is to craft unique and innovative dishes utilizing the very best ingredients within the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond skillfully prepared through a French lens.

The flounder I had was well over cooked. It was like mush. Otherwise, the food was good.

The pre-payment against cancellation is offensive especially where the deadline for cancellation (stuff happens) is so far in advance of the reserved time. Restaurants should as a service to those who would not be a willy-nilly be a no show bear the customary risk that a customer may have a need to change plans.

We had an early reservation at 9:30 for breakfast. We were sat upstairs at a small table. It was nice and quiet and the ambiance was great to enjoy a slightly slower breakfast before a big day. Service was quick and polite, and the food was delicious. The rolled, filled croissant was worth the purchase, we got the pistachio and raspberry filled - yummy! The breakfast sandwich was well balanced and the eggs were the perfectly cooked. Would go again, perhaps to try dinner!

Excellent from beginning to end! We had the prix fixe menu including beef bourguignon and a great beat starter. Huge shout out to our server Meghan (sp?) for being really helpful with menu options. Another shout out to sommelier Justin for recommending the Cabernet Franc.

The food is always great and staff is wonderful. Cannot recommend this spot enough. Definitely get escargot and the duck!

It was a nice evening and my server (Mariah) did an amazing job! The only real glitch was the 20% service fee. I was being forced to pay both the 20% service fee, 20% tip and asked to provide additional tip on the InKind app. I’ve used the InkInd app at plenty of other restaurants abut I’ve never been faced with this situation. When I raised it with the front desk, they were aware but unwilling to help. I asked to speak to the manager and only then did he agree to waive the 20% service fee. I was able to pay my bill and a 20% tip to my server who more than deserved her tip. I strongly recommend that Petite Cerise review this issue because I doubt customers who come in want to pay 40% service fees, especially in this economy.
