Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: Alors que le Petit Trois original est simplement comme son nom l’indique — petit — la deuxième itération du restaurant de Ludo Lefebvre est beaucoup plus grande à Sherman Oaks où tout est hauts plafonds, accents dorés et banquettes vert menthe confortables. Vous pouvez quand même y commander tous les plats à succès, comme le steak frites et le fameux hamburger Le Big Mec, mais un conseil : réservez une place au comptoir compact du chef pour voir toute l’action dans la cuisine.

So the rating of 3 is mostly due to the dessert. The restaurant is amazing, great service and the entree and main courses are fabulous. Dessert are lower than expected. We tried the profiteroles and the ice cream are very good but the puff pastries were dried or overcooked. The apple tart was also disappointing as it’s more crust than an apple pie. It use to be fabulous from start to finish but now, i think they need to rethink their desserts recipes.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Ludo is an incredible chef and the hostess Shoshana is the best.

Escargot was amazing. The burger is one of the top 10 I’ve ever had. Steak frites was delicious, the fries are perfect and meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Really wanted to try the desserts but the kitchen closed before we could order any. And nobody told us it was last call. :( Cocktails were very sweet, didn’t taste like much alcohol was used, definitely wouldn’t order again. Would go back, I’d just order a bottle of wine instead of cocktails.
