   Have been eating at Pho for years. My favourites are summer rolls and spicy brisket pho. Always satisfying.

   Food was lovely and the restaurant is in lovely location, however, the service was average. £30 service charge was added to our bill despite the service being average. We didn’t have a dedicated waiter or waitress, neither of the servers did anything special to warrant a £30 service charge, when the bill came without asking (just an assumption by the waiter) our bill was split so it was paid for unevenly and we asked for the service charge to be removed which it wasn’t. This was unnoticed by us because of how the paying system works. Using the machine yourself, as a customer is unacceptable! It also definitely does not warrant a £30 service charge especially as a customer I have to workout my own bill using a machine! Nothing is personal, nothing is above and beyond, it’s just disappointing. I’d recommend the food and location but that is about it. I wouldn’t say a meal for 6 people, 4 starters & 6 mains, 3 alcoholic beverages and 3 soft drink should not cost £250. Just because your a group of 6 people the service charge should not just be added and the service shouldn’t be any less personal compared to 2 people.

   Pho is my favourite place to go as usual. We come here a lot and usually the service is perfect! This week was a little more disjointed. The service was a bit chaotic so we didn’t get to have starters together and then our mains were given to us before we finished starters which was a bit of a shame. This won’t stop us from coming back as the food is probably my most favoured of any restaurant at the moment!

    Like so many other places this has become a card only restaurant which is somewhat frustrating. When we arrived the music was blaring so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak over the table and I did eventually ask one of the staff to turn it down a notch which they did with no issues. Some of the food was nice like the Chicken Pho, however the Vicermeli noodles with chicken thighs were pretty dry and tasteless. We also had the crispy pork spring rolls which although not bad I don’t think there was much pork in them and the chicken wings had to have been the smallest wings I’ve ever seen. Additionally, it seems that adding a service charge onto your bill is becoming a norm and making you having to awkwardly ask for it to be removed if you don’t want to pay it or you want to tip a different amount. This is where the place being cashless is frustrating. Overall an average experience at most especially in comparison to a proper Vietnamese restaurant
