Piccolino, an authentic Italian Restaurant, is a proud fixture of the Liverpool dining scene. Piccolino is located on Cook Street and boasts an open kitchen and a small but perfectly formed alfresco terrace.
Italy’s diverse cuisine is the heart and soul of Piccolino. We visit the regions, meet the producers and are committed to sourcing the best quality ingredients. Service was good, food was good, ambience was good. A busy spot close to the lively Matthew street, a bit overpriced.

Food was delicious and could not fault any of it. We had flat bread and tuna tartare to start, both were very tasty and great portion sizes. For mains we had seafood skewers which were perfectly cooked and again delicious. My wife's main was veggie ragu which was rich and full of flavour. Our server Grace was very nice and professional and helpful. Highly recommended visiting here when visiting Liverpool.

Would not go back we expected better , it wasn’t the best dining experience , selection on the menus wasn’t up to scratch .

Really was very good or better. Some of our party thought it outstanding, while others felt that the food, while enjoyable, was not special enough to give 5/5. Nevertheless, nice ambience, wonderful service, and a recommended experience.

Brucsetta was tasty but how can you go wrong with bread and tomatoes! Main course of pasta and slow cooked beef shin was only average, would have been much nicer if there was actually some beef shin in it. My wife had pizza which was completely tasteless. Will not be returning

The food was delicious, service was a bit slow simply because they were so busy, but definitely worth the wait.

The food was amazing. Pollo al Tarfuto is a lovely dish. Let down was that we arrived on time and had to wait 15 min. When seated we were seated directly where the waiters go in and out from the bar area, we got barged and nudged past every 2 mins from staff running around like headless chickens. Whilst the starters were also lovely it took almost half an hour to 40 mins for the mains to follow the starter which was bizarre. Nevertheless the mains were lovely. The decor of the restaurant does not make sense compared to normal piccolino restaurants. It looks like they purchased an old Wetherspoons and re named it. Overall the food was lovely but the staff certainly need to be trained on etiquette on creating a luxurious ambiance while people dine.
