Piccolo Buco Roma - set mere steps from Rome's famed Trevi Fountain - is where Cooper's Hawk Founder, Tim McEnery, first discovered Chef Luca Issa and his wonderful pizza. The ingredients were deceptively simple: creamy, indulgent mozzarella mingled with a bright and bold tomato sauce. Patrick was a pleasure. He checked on us several times and made sure we had everything we needed. We are always sad they do not have some sort of bread option to go with all the delicious pasta. This was the first time I have sat at a table and not the bar to eat. It was very tight. The tables were very close together, especially back to back. I felt like I was involved in the conversation of the table behind me. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I will go back but will probably try to stick to sitting at the bar when possible.

Food was cold when it got to us. Wine was good. Waiter meant well, but only checked on us once. Not expecting the most from here, but with just meh.

Bo, our server was great. My daughter loved the pizza and the salmon I had was much better than I expected at a pizza place.

First bite was a showstopper. We ordered the spicy pepperoni pizze. It wasn’t spicy, if you’re concerned about spice level. It was delicious. The pizze dough was perfectly done. Just doughy to crispy ratio. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan which was a generous portion and also cooked perfectly. And the side of pasta was even thoughtfully prepared. Service was excellent. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great.

Met a friend for dinner here and like that you can make reservations. It is nice and airy inside, with friendly staff. We were seated right away, despite arriving early for our rez. Our server was very sweet. We ordered the stuffed squash appetizer which was very good. My friend ordered pasta, I ordered the Margherita pizza - both were delicious. We opted in for dessert and did their seasonal dessert which was some sort of apple item with vanilla ice cream. It was scrumptious. We had a lovely dinner from start to finish, I will definitely return when I am back in the area for work.
