Pied à Terre is London’s longest standing Michelin starred restaurant, having opened in 1991, and offers Omnivore, Vegetarian, Pescatarian and Plant-Based tasting menus. Wine, cocktail and Zero cocktail flights are designed to accompany the menus and an extensive wine list is also available. Lunch Complet and Lunch Express offers are available Thursday-Saturday.

The team at Pied à Terre prides themselves on outstanding and innovative food, informative yet relaxed and personable service, and one of the best wine cellars in the capital. In addition to an elegant dining room in the Fitzrovian townhouse, there are 3 private dining spaces.

Pied à Terre is owned and run by founder David Moore. Executive Chef Phil Kearsey is a Saucier, obsessed with the quality of his sauces which have incredible depth of flavour to accompany his modern British dishes with classical French technique. He is uncompromising in his use of hyper seasonal ingredients in the pursuit of culinary perfection.

    Yesterday, we had an amazing experience at Pied a Terre! I went with my daughter for the Kitchen experience. We arrived at 9 am and were welcomed with an amazing cup of coffee and given aprons to wear before we went down into the depths of The Kitchen .  We spent a total of four hours down there watching everything that was going on in the tiny space and helping where we could in some of the tasks.  We then watched how the pass works  as the service began. The whole brigade were really welcoming and it enjoyed talking to us about the amazing work that we do. A special thanks to Albi and his team.  We then went up into the restaurant and enjoyed an amazing 10 course tasting menu. My daughter had the vegetarian menu and I had the omnivore menu. Everything is really excellent and having watched some of it being prepared made enjoying the food even more interesting. Thank you to David and the front of house team for making the second part of our experience so welcoming David & Rosie Moëd

    What a fantastic experience! Highly recommended - just save up first! The food was superb - we did the 10 course tasting menu with wine flight - and the wines were matched perfectly, creating a fine dining memory to cherish. The staff were just superb and the atmosphere wasn’t stuffy (like other Michelin starred restaurants we’ve been to) but friendly, playful and fun! There were 4 tables celebrating birthdays and we all got chatting and singing along as well. A wonderful evening, thank you.

    We choose the plant based tasting menu paired with wines. Every course was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The staff team and David took great care of us during our meal

    The restaurant has such an interesting background, with this being documented in a book celebrating their 30+ years of opening. Wonderful staff, both front of house and in the kitchen. The passion for food is at the fore front, with David and his team showing this as soon as we entered. The relaxed customer service, partnered with exquisite fine dining is what makes Pied a Terre so special. And for it to only be awarded with one Michelin star is an injustice. We have never tasted food like it, and cannot wait to come back.

    A fabulous evening at Pied a Terre. We loved the tasting menu with pairing wines - so many delicious dishes that demonstrated passion for food, and ingenuity in flavour and texture; special call out for the sorbet which was stunning. The service really did make the whole experience experience, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming - I would highly recommend.

    Amazing experience! From when I walked in, the entire staff welcome me smiling and with an incredible cordiality. I went for the full 10 courses menu with a pairing of non-alcoholic drinks (4 pieces). Every course was perfectly explained with joy and a great personality. All the menu was balanced and well executed. Personally I didn’t like the cheese, but it was just not my type. The mocktail was also very god, especially the last one! Overall a really great experience, I will surely come back!! Ps: I loved the purè and the butter, surely one of the best I ever tried!
