   Top quality service, food and drinks, waiters very friendly and attentive Best mussels I’ve ever had, recommend without thinking as the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. We are so lucky in Beckenham to have an excellent restaurant like Pier Luigi’s Recommend to us by our Italian neighbours

   Visited this wonderful place early on a Saturday evening with my two young grand daughters (4 & 8) From arrival, they were treated like princesses, it is so lovely that they were not seen as an inconvenience like other places. The older one has been before so knew exactly what she wanted, the younger one had asked for pasta with pink prawns, they created a dish for her that was very tasty and perfect for her. I have to add to this that they are both very well behaved in a restaurants, with good manners at a table. Desserts were ordered by the girls directly with out waiter, and he was perfect in talking to them, the profiteroles were declared the best thing she had ever eaten and the strawberry ice cream was well received !! all in all another perfect visit to this wonderful restarant, thank you

   First of all I cannot complain about the food or waiter as that was brilliant! However our table was at 8pm and within 10 minutes we were asked if we wanted to order mains, this made us feel very rushed. At 9pm the waiter came over with the bill without us even asking for it and we had not finished our bottle of wine and was still eating our desert we then got moved to the bar to stand as we got told someone was coming on our table in 5 mins so we had to get off. It was my friends first night out after having a baby so was suppose to be special and this experience was extremely unprofessional and left un satisfied, which is such a shame as been here many times and had a great experience but this has ruined it for us!

As explained, as you attended your reservation ahead of time, you were seated earlier on, on an alternative table which should have been communicated to you. The team acknowledged that the choice to be seated earlier on a different table rebooked earlier was not addressed. Albeit the time allocation being the same, the team should always offer the choice to you as the guest, and all communication should be of the utmost professional standard.    I wouldn’t return. To start I had the scallops, 3 small chewy, tasteless scallops. I tried my friends prawns, they had a sauce that had a slight flavour. When asking my other friends and family about their starters they also said it lacked in flavour. Main, I had the lobster linguine, they over compensated for the lack of flavour by adding a ridiculous amount of salt. We had this problem with three dishes on the table all with a red sauce. It was un edible. The food over all really lacked any flavour other than salt. The resturant was busy so trying to get the waiter’s attention was impossible as it seemed he had forgotten about our table. I took myself to the bar to ask for more drinks, as we was all parched after the main, and for someone to take our food. The man at the bar was very apologetic and got someone to see to us. Someone came over to the table, which I assume was the manager, and took the dishes to then come back and say the pasta was indeed too salty. He was apologetic, understandably it is not the waiting staffs fault but the chef. Over all I feel the waiter we had lacked in attendance for our table and the food was not good at all. The food is very over priced for what you are getting, I would not recommend this restaurant.

   Good afternoon Madam, Thank you for your comments. The Manager promptly attended your table on the situation being brought to his attention. The matter was resolved swiftly with the dish being removed from the table as well as from your bill, an alternative being proposed, & a round of drinks being offered & accepted. The party were extremely appreciative of the gesture of the round of drinks. The Manager apologised profusely & was very present on your table for the duration of your dinner, & was given many compliments in respect to the rest of the meal & the ambience on the evening. Had you not been in agreement with the rest of your group, then we always advise guests to ensure communication in the moment so as to provide a further solution for the matter on the spot.    Had such a wonderful time. Had my 5 month old with me and the staff were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better service or food. It was a celebration dinner and they brought out a cake with sparklers for me. 10/10 can’t wait to come back x

   5 star place, 5 star people - felt looked after like one of the family. Seafood cooked to perfection, beautiful torta di mele, first rate espresso, well recommended Chablis.

    This is a great, friendly restaurant with excellent food. I had linguine with salmon and creamy while wine sauce which was hot and excellent. I alo finished with a pannacotta with fresh raspberry coulis whic was perfect. Wines are excellent and love the olives. Great ambience whether I've been there lunchtime or evening. Worrh every penny.
