   Every person involved in our service was wonderful. Crusty bread was great. We both chose the beet salad which was delicious & lightly dressed. I chose a bison ribeye (upgrade) that was out of this world! She agreed after I shared a bite. My mashed potatoes were just right. My wife’s salmon was perfect, tender with a nice crust on top. She was unsure of the broth at first but soon loved it as well. The hint of spice made the flavor a lot more interesting with the noodle combo. The added bits of bacon & sautéed onion were wonderful additions. Desserts were pumpkin crème brûlée- reminded me of pumpkin pie flavors but lighter. She loved the dark chocolate cheesecake. It was exactly what she hoped it would be. Sweet Perfection.

   We went for lunch during restaurant week and were not impressed with the specials. Those who loved their meals ordered from the normal menu. The salmon special was plain and lacked flavor. The special "steak tips" were flavorful, but the consistency was like very small pieces of roast beef. My advice is to stick to the normal menu.

   The short ribs were fatty. At least 1/2 the entree was left because it was so fatty.

   Pierponts never really changes. We hadn't been for a decade (out of state), but it didn't take long to remember why it was never a favorite. And that's because as good as the service might be, or as nice as the ambiance is (and it's nice); the food just doesn't measure up. I swear the steaks are completely unseasoned. Like eating ground beef. For the first time since maybe the 80's, I had to ask for some A-1 sauce at a white linen steakhouse. So very disappointing. The atmosphere might make you want to go there for a special event or a romantic evening, but you won't want to go just for the food.

   We had the specials for restaurant week, the beet salad and crab bisque for course 1; the cioppino and braised short rib for course 2; the chocolate cheese cake and bread pudding for course 3. All were exceptional and our server Alex was of exceptional service. We would highly recommend!

   Went for restaurant week. Waited over an hour for our food. Very skimpy portions. Seating staff was very arrogant and rude. Will not go back and don’t recommend!

   The ambience and service were excellent as expected. The meat that we received with our meal was excellent. The remainder of the foods that we received were not good. For the price I won’t go back there again.

    Only negative was the beet salad was 90% arugula with literally 4 cubes of beets. It was delicious, but if you are going to call it beet salad, bring on the beets!
