Exceptional service from the welcoming reservations girl all the way through to the bar service. Food was plated elegantly & the tastes will make this restaurant a favorite to anyone visiting. Drinks were 100% perfect. Thank you everyone. My only request would be to install a dimmer to control the seated bar area so the over head lights can be dimmed down. However that has nothing to do with the food, drink and service. See you all again in 2-3 weeks

Fried oysters, best I have ever had. Beet salad, excellent. Ribeye steak and potatoes, excellent. Can’t wait to return.

Outstanding service. The server explained the dishes, made great recommendations on wines, and timed the courses well. The food is unique- the menu may say fried chicken, but it's not like any fried chicken you have ever seen! We enjoyed the crisp meat pies, pork rib cassoulet, lamb pasta, fall vegetable terrine and the pear tart for dessert. The location is a very old brick building so it's very noisy! But we will be back because there are so many good things to taste.

This is my second time dining here. It is soooooooo good. I had shrimp and grits, the beet salad, brussel sprouts (appetizer) and the pear tart. Everyone was very happy with the food, service and experience. We will be back. Thank you Cam!!

After a wonderful earlier experience at Pillar we were eager to return. Sadly, this visit was very disappointing. 1) we had to wait for our table...at 5:30 PM! 2) we waited 30 minutes for our entrees after finishing our appetizers. 3) the branzino and fried chicken were okay, and the scallops were okay. However, the tomato fregola with eggplant and spinach under the scallops was SO over-salted as to be inedible. And, the appetizers were not up to the level we expected, especially the grilled leeks and burrata. In general, the service was very poor. And by the time we left the restaurant - 8:15 PM! - the noise level was so high we could not carry on a conversation. We choose to dine early to avoid this issue but this time that did not help. We will try again, with some reluctance, as the sister restaurant, Mot Hai Ba, is one of our favorites. But our excitement at having this addition to Bishop Arts has certainly been dimmed.

Chef Peja is the best! We had the Nashville oysters, grilled leeks, lamb tortelli, shrimp & grits, and lamington last night. All delicious!! Our server was lovely and attentive. We will be back!

I can't say enough good things about Chef Peja Krstic's second restaurant and our experience there this week. I've been to his other restaurant Mot Hai Ba, which got the Michelin Bib Gourmand this year, and Pillar is pretty new so I thought - maybe it needs time. It might not be the same experience just yet. Wow, I was wrong. My big advice is to go big on the apps. Do not even consider limiting your menu choices to experience all of these flavors. Go with a group so you can order many small dishes for round one, and eat bites family style to get the full range of tastes. Because yes, the Nashvhille Hot Oysters were like nothing I've ever had, and the beef tartare that everyone online loves is truly lovable perched atop a crispy potato hashbrown. But do NOT miss the burrata-pear salad, do NOT underestimate the leeks (big fav), and don't even CONSIDER leaving without ordering the brussel sprouts - I couldn't even tell you the full range of flavors and textures that hooked me in that single dish. The slam dunk was the tuna carpaccio. The crab was like some kind of sea-candy. Can I curse on here? One of my table mates loved it so much, he looked angry. Dinner for us was four dishes: The fried chicken, Tuna handheld, Shrimp & curried grits, and a short rib/agnolotti. The chicken - the sauce - the CORNbread brioche with salty honey butter. Ah! Curry in cheese grits? Yeah, thank you. The Tuna sandwich - seemingly simple - (I gave a side eye at that order because we established we would be sharing) was a surprising showstopper. The agnolotti were precious - like asian dumplings, but also italian pasta pillows? These reminded me of Mot Hai Ba. Oof. I'm hungry again. Somehow. Look. I don't write reviews. I think I've posted 3 on yelp in 30 years. But this is worth saying: This restaurant is a "level up" from anything nearby. Couple that with approachable and fun staff, a killer wine list, and a super fun location in Bishop Arts, and stop reading. Just go there.
