Pilot is a seasonal oyster bar aboard one of America's most prized wooden schooners.

Showcasing sustainably harvested oysters and nautically inspired cocktails, Pilot presents a concise menu of ingredient-driven seasonal plates by nationally acclaimed chef, Kerry Heffernan.

Over the course of Pilot's nearly 100 year history, she's led many lives: as a contender to be the fastest sailboat in the world, as the country's longest serving pilot ship, as a ferry for soldiers in World War II, and as a research vessel that circumnavigated the world twice.

    A must go to dining experience. Since the weather is starting to get cold and this is an outdoor venue, we were lucky enough to be there on their last night of the season. A beautiful, restored sailing vessel, signature cocktails, fresh oysters, and an amazing view of Manhattan. You can't ask for anything better!

    Their menu online was different. Unless you like raw fish and oysters there wasn’t anything cooked really to eat. Grilled cheese from the kids menu. A tiny salad. Great view. Good drinks.

    The waitress was terrible. She seemed totally out of it and was "out to lunch" (excuse the pun). Food was decent but small serving size. The only real perk was being on a boat, docked on the water, overlooking NYC.

    It was a great experience! Atmosphere is amazing and the service was awesome! Just not that impressive about the food. I had Linguine with clams and my boyfriend had scallops. It was not bad. Just not a wow food. So absolutely i will recommend this place! :)

    Amazing ambiance and vibes. I was disappointed that there were not any vegetarian or pescatarian main course options. For a seafood restaurant, I had expected at least one fish dish (there was only shellfish) or a vegetarian option.

    Very nice spot for a casual, delicious meal. Amazing views of lower Manhattan. Worth a trip to Brooklyn Heights.
