   I'm from India, and have high standards for Indian food. The restaurant was simply amazing. The food and ambience were outstanding; service fell short a little bit. First, they have one of the most amazing-tasting cocktails I have ever had: Kerala Backwater. Our appetizers were Fish Amritsari (outstanding) and Bajra Bathua Salad (excellent; could have used a little more papaya and mango). Entrees were Pepper Crab Meat, Tawa Vegetables and Pippal Dal. All three outstanding, especially the crab dish. It comes with only one appam, a “bread” which is not something you see on Indian restaurant menus in our area very often. They should definitely give you 2; we actually ordered 2 extra.. The tawa vegetables were really delicious. A very good selection of vegetables, cooked to perfection. The dal was their version of Dal Makhani; they do it really well. Our breads were Warki Paratha and Lachha Paratha. Wark is edible silver foil. Order this just to try that, if you've never had it before. Both parathas were perfect. Dessert was Tilla Malai Kulfi. Outstanding again. The meal was really memorable. But they have a very, very interesting menu, full of dishes you cannot get anywhere else. So I imagine we'll try different dishes each time for our first few visits. I felt the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and the fine-dining ambience.    Great food and the place itself is quite good. We tried Dahi Kebab, Bhoot Jholakiya Chicken and Chicken Korma. All the items were great but the Dahi Kebab stood out!

   Food was terrific though, though were very distracted by a very loud fan or generator of some sort coming from the kitchen. We asked about it and were told it would end soon. Which it did halfway through our meal. Detracted from the experience and our ability to communicate across the table with friends.

   Great place, amazing drinks and great service. Some of the food was realy unique and amazing some of the other dishes were just ok like the chiken tikka

   Showed up a little early for our reservation and was seated right away. Service was excellent - very fast. Food was also excellent! Great first time experience at Pippal.

   Maybe it was an off night but they had only one server for the entire section and the food quality was below average. They were clearly struggling and were under staffed

   Went there for dinner. We sat inside and it was too cold. Everyone seated inside were wearing their outdoor jackets. The folks sitting outside had heat laps near by and were probably warmer.

    Food was delicious and we enjoyed exploring dishes we had never had or even heard of before. The waiter was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, and made sure we were well informed on any usual aspects of a dish (like the Litti Chokla being very dry by design). The prawn pepper fry were fantastic, and the mutton ahua was so spicy but so good. The bread under the beef rib eye really needs to be cut with kitchen shears and not a steak knife, but it's so good (soaking up all the yummy steak flavors) that I have ordered it every time I eat here. The cocktails were lovely.
