A modern-American dining experience in the heart of historic Lancaster City, Plough pays homage to Lancaster’s rich heritage while embracing modernity. Chef Ryan McQuillan’s creatively prepared dishes incorporate local ingredients sourced from the region’s lush farmlands and oldest running Farmers’ Market in the country. With handcrafted cocktails and spirits, wines by the glass selected from an extensive wine wall, and pints with local flair, Plough brings a new-age taste of Lancaster to the table.

Overpriced food. Quality was not great, paid $44 for a duck plate that had two small strips of duck that was mostly skin and fat. My wife ordered $44 plate of steak that was dry and tough. Not coming back.

Our waiter Sherryl made it a pleasant experience. Never felt like we had to wait to order, always asking did we need anything, very informative about the menu choices and added the humor and smile needed to make anyone feel comfortable and wait with great anticipation of what is coming. Wonderful first experience here at The Plough.

We had a wonderful experience! We went for our anniversary. They were ready immediately for our reservation and attended to us with wonderful service the whole time. Our server Cam was friendly and also noticed every time we needed anything at all without us even asking. Food was excellent! Pork chop & chicken were divine, and the whipped feta appetizer was a fun and unique taste we enjoyed.

The food here is absolutely outstanding! Along with the friendly, welcoming service and the cozy, but classy ambiance this dining experience was one of the best I’ve ever had! I will for sure be back in the very near future.

Stuart, our server was on point. He was easy going and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made our special night out of the year just that much better. The meal choices were both wonderful. Not the crazy proportions some restaurants have to plate to make you feel you get your money worth.

This lovely restaurant is a bit of a secret. No, it's not your run of the mill hotel restaurant. It is obvious the chef has taken care to curate an interesting and delicious menu. I appreciated that the menu was compact and didn't have pages of choices. Our food was delicious and the service was just great.

Enjoyed the tuna tartare and the bacon cheese tart. Sirloin steak was tasty but a little tough.

Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your meal. It's great to know the sirloin steak was tasty, though we apologize if it was a bit tougher than expected. We'll be sure to review our preparation to ensure the perfect balance of tenderness and flavor. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back soon for another great experience!
