PlumpJack Cafe is widely regarded as Lake Tahoe's premier dining destination. Fine dining and exceptional wines are in our heritage, and we'd love to share our passion with you on your next visit. We offer a complete and unique menu that is sure to satisfy you after a long day in the mountains.
PlumpJack Cafe & Bar hours of operation are Thursday-Monday from 4-9pm. The Bar will be open at 4:00pm for drinks & cocktails, followed by our full dinner menu from 5-9pm. First they couldn’t find our reservation, which I pulled up on my phone. Then, while seated they called to let me know we were late for the reservation (to which I told them we were seated)—by the same maitre d, no less. No waiter for 15 min until we asked for one to be sent over. Our app arrived and 30 seconds later so did our main courses. The restaurant was not full either. The main course (Bronzino) was inedible. Disappointing all around since we always eat at Plumpjack when in Tahoe.

This is now my favorite Tahoe restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious. The stuffed quail was an amazing appetizer. The butternut squash soup with a hint of curry was very unique, delicious, and flavorful. The Branzino with the scallops were one of the best preparations of my favorite fish. The ambiance very cozy and a bit whimsical. Service was great. I love everything about this restaurant. Definitely will dine there again.

Began with a delicious Helles Lager (Erdinger I think) and great appetizer right after Oktoberfest followed by an amazing steak & Bordeaux Blend. Service was outstanding…highly recommend!

A very nice evening for celebrating our anniversary. Service was outstanding. The scallops were great. My wife found the lamb though tender and well cooked, a bit too peppery for her tase.

Excellent service, the servers were friendly, helpful and informative. We loved the table we sat at and all the food was cooked beautifully and came out at the right time.

We had an excellent dinner at PlumpJack. After years of eating at overpriced and mediocre (at best) restaurants on the lake, we decided to give PlumpJack a try. What it lacks in views of the lake, it more than makes up for in food quality & presentation, service, cocktails and wine. Great for a date night or special occasion. My new go-to in N. Lake Tahoe.
