   As always a great meal. Ross and crew can do with flavours what no chef on east coast can pull off. His staff always make you feel welcomed Ross and his wife always seem genuinely happy to see you and unlike many restauranteurs locally appreciate the fact you dinned at their restaurant. Hands down. The best restaurant east of Montreal and maybe all of Canada. See you again soon Kenneth .S

   Service a bit slow, too much time for drinks, could use a better selection of cocktails with more variety to choose from, scallop toast was very greasy, like eating a piece of fried bread with scallops not tasting very fresh. Gnocchi could be a bit crispier, lacks texture and would be great with a dipping sauce. Chicken and scalloped potatoes are the saving grace, although potatoes felt a bit under. The rice with the chicken could use some seasoning or some flavor to go better with the chicken, and the chicken was the best dish overall but how hard is it to do chicken properly anyways

   The options were phenomenal. The smoked olives were simple and delicious. Mushroom with root pasta (I don’t remember the name) was a whole experience. Muscles were succulently flavored. And the dessert was light with various texture (pink risotto cheese with fruit/nut - again I don’t know the name). It made my trip here from GA, USA more colorful to experience this place and the people were friendly and added to the atmosphere!

   Another fabulous evening at Portage - the food was delicious and Leo once again provided the perfect wine pairings to compliment our meal.
