Italian inspired cuisine in a charming and beautiful country setting with outdoor dining all summer and a covered heated tent in the winter. Our stone terrace with large fireplace nestled between aromatic herb and flower gardens makes for a beautiful setting year around.

Upon booking, please select either an indoor or outdoor table. "Standard" refers to an indoor table. If an outdoor table is not listed, the patio may be booked at that time. Please call us directly if your preference is not listed.

Our tent is down for the summer! Tables on the patio are covered by umbrellas for protection from sun and in the case of rain. In the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate outdoor bookings indoors based on availability.

Take out from 4:30pm to 8:00pm daily and can be ordered by calling us at (804) 741-4800.

We are unable to accomadate parties of more than 6. We are unable to separate parties into multiple tables.

Food was good but my quiche was lukewarm at best. It’s always interesting that the staff rarely smiles. They ought to smile more as they move through the restaurant as they appear to not like their jobs!

There were five (5) of us and we all loved our meals! Even though it was a chilly night, it was warm on the patio with the fireplace and heaters. We all agreed our server was not what we expected; just not as friendly as everyone else that came to our table. The gentleman that explained the desserts was super helpful and friendly! We are all looking forward to coming back!

We love Portico! It’s a little bit of a drive, so we don’t get there as much as we would like, but it never disappoints.

First visit. Everything was fantastic. Only issue was that our drinks ran dry halfway through dinner. Waiter was slow to notice and took a bit longer to get the next round. Everyone was finished eating at that point. Would have made the evening perfect had that not been missed.

Even during a rain storm we were warm and cozy in the outside tent ! We had a great dinner and the espresso martini was to die for !!

The food was absolutely wonderful…the rockfish was perfect. We were in the covered patio area and it was completely wet floor…seems the owners could keep the water out of there. Also, the over heat was miserably hot because it is directly pointed at the tables in the middle. I would recommend not being seat out there during cold or rain.

Every dish we got was outstanding! Alcohol choices were great. It’s nice they can have the outdoor seating out in the igloo (there may have even been too many heaters out there lol). Overall an incredible Valentines meal!
