Potente is a sophisticated and upscale Italian restaurant located in downtown Houston led by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Every dish is locally sourced and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Potente was excellent as usual. No complaints. The Tuna appetizer was excellent along with snapper entree. The pasta dish with truffle is the best I’ve had anywhere. Will be going back. Have eaten there several times.

Excellent Valentine’s Day menu. Delicious food such as the branzino fish, ahi tuna crude, and spaghetti Al Tarugo Nero.

First time going, and highly recommend! Food was amazing, experience was amazing, service was top notch. Best Valentine’s Day dinner experience. Very happy with Potente overall, and will be going back and recommending to everyone I know!

It was an outstanding evening from start to finish. The food was perfect. The drinks divine. The menus themselves were innovative and exciting. The staff was professional and personable, intelligent and informed. Highly recommend this gem!

It was a delightful anniversary evening, with impeccable service in an unrushed atmosphere. We have missed this gem for too long, and we will be coming back! The food was excellent! My wine was superb!

Potente is such an amazing experience! We had a few friends meet there for their first time and they were all blown away! Everyone there is so nice and caring and the food is just outstanding! We will def be back!!

Overall, the ambience and the service was great The only thing we would say is that the food was not bad, but it was definitely not up to par for value for money.

I know high end restaurants however the food here was over rated subpar. I went on a colleague’s recommendation. I honestly was not impressed with the food nor the flavor. The only plate that was good was the wagyu steak. It just wasn’t for us.
