   Our experience started poor. We had a 5:00 reservation but the restaurant was locked and the staff was ignoring us through the door. After 15 minutes I called the restaurant and the sent someone to come let us in. There was another couple waiting outside with a 5:00 reservation. When we were seated, they put us right next to the only other couple in a completely empty restaurant. We were ignored for 10 minutes and the other table was served and had drinks on the table before the waitress even acknowledged us. There were 5 servers completely ignoring us. The food was good and the service improved. The restaurant filled up and it was a busy evening. Everything was going nicely until we were told we had to hurry when we ordered dessert because they had another reservation that needed the table. We had to rush through our desert, pay and leave in 10 minutes. Quite a disappointing end to the evening. We would have had lots of time (extra 25 minutes) if we weren’t left out in the cold then ignored at the beginning of our reservation.

   The food is good and nice small place. I was asked if it was a special occasion when I made reservation and said it was my wife’s birthday. They asked again when they called to confirm we were coming. Then the server asked again when we were ordering. Simply put they asked over and over if it was an occasion, but didn’t offer or do anything to acknowledge occasion. Why bother???

   We met friends on Sunday for their first Primal experience. The atmosphere was perfect for catching up, with the music at a level that we could hear each other talk. Each dish was delicious! Our server, Aaron, was very attentive and knew the menu in detail! I recommend Primal for both group get togethers and intimate dinners. And did I mention, my Grandma would have given the pavlova her stamp of approval!!

   We decided on the tasting menu and it was amazing. We each chose a different dish for each course and ate “family” style. Definitely in my top 5 meals in Saskatoon. Thank you for a great dinner. Also a shout out to Shelby our server who was exceptional.

   Food was amazing. Staff was great. Honestly was so satisfied. Lights were a little on the low side and it made reading the menu difficult. Will be going back. The chef had great flavors.

   Did the tasting menu with wine pairing! LOVED this meal; next time would order a bottle of wine instead of pairing. But server was very knowledgeable about wine!

   Dining at Primal is always a very anticipated meal for us. We live out of town and when we know we will be in Saskatoon, we always consider an amazing dining experience at Primal. We brought two friends to dine with us who had never been before. They loved it and said they would definitely come back. The food is always amazing, fresh, hot and incredibly tasty.
