By far our favorite steakhouse in the city, I honestly can’t think of one negative comment to make. Everything was phenomenal. A must try!

We were running late due to a car accident, the restaurant accommodated us arriving late. The service was great and the food was delicious.

For what should have been an excellent dinner—it was definitely not with the cost. 1st impression:One valet guy running ragged and the girl who checked my coat seemed inconvenienced. 2nd waiter was ok. Our first beverage, one of the glasses of wine came out with dirt in it. Our table in the middle of the booths was crash city. 4 busboy/waiters bumped into me, and the table beside us, those patrons bumped into my chair several times. 3. Food, asked for medium steak, and it came out medium rare. Potatoes , those weren’t whipped, they were liquified. The Mac and cheese was good, but the serving dish it was in was so hot, I burned my hand. However it was the best tasting of the 3. I was in Chicago for my birthday—and that wasn’t the best experience— I didn’t complain to the waiter because we had to get over to the lyric for the nutcracker, he did comp the drink, however- I won’t be back.

Excellent first time experience, from our wait staff to everything we ordered. Food was prepared as ordered and so delicious. Portions very good size. The side dishes are huge and can share between 3 people. We will be returning . Highly recommend.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and loved it, but the experience of last night had cause me to never dine at this establishment again. We had a reservation for 5:00pm and we did not sit until 5:30 pm. We were told the guests at our table were being asked to leave but would not. Then told That we, the guest, Could "stand by the table and make them uncomfortable so that they may leave" . Then offer a table that could seat 4 when we were a group of 5. The restaurant apologies to us and offered us complimentary drinks to make up For the delay. The food was extremely slow to come out and our drinks were even slower. We ended up having to run out of the restaurant to make our show (that we would have had time for if they sat us at our reservation). The WORST of this was looking back at our bill the next day and THEY CHARGED US FOR THE COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS AND OVER CHARGED FOR OUR HAPPY HOUR PRICING. So disappointed, so angry to be overcharged, and embarrassed that we brought people here and told them it was top notch (and for an expensive price point) I do not recommend eating at prime and prison anymore.

Our waiter was fantastic for our large business meeting handling with precision and care. Food was fantastic and certainly created repeat customers.

Great location and environment. Less stuffy than some Chicago steakhouses. Nothing really all that different on the menu, but everything was done really well. Might be the best steak I’ve ever had. Beet salad: Amazing. Bacon: Incredible. Sides: All exceptional. Didn’t leave room for dessert, maybe subconsciously to give us a reason to return.
