Overall it was ok, The first hiccups we had was that our salad had stale croutons. The au jus was a bit on the bland side. Cream corn was delicious. Mashed potatoes was delicious. Creamed spinach needed some salt Potatoes au gratin needed a bit of help. Just find it to be a bit pricey for ok food, at roughly $70 per person not including drinks. Drinks this night were poured a bit strong and not balanced.

Hubby and I made reservations, and once we arrived, we were seated immediately in the open area. It was quiet at first but got louder through the evening as more people arrived. We ordered drinks; I had the Prime martini, and hubby had the sparkling rose. Drinks came out quickly, and our water was always kept topped off, which I appreciated. I never saw the server keeping our cups filled. My martini was so good! I ordered the Diablo cut, Caesar salad, creamed spinach, and garlic mash. Hubby got the President’s cut (he is a fan of bone-in cuts) along with Caesar salad, potato au gratin, and creamed corn. Our salads came quickly and were very delicious. The main courses came out along with au jus and creamy and raw horseradish. Everything was so delicious, and I enjoyed every bite along with my martini and finishing my hubby’s rose. It was our first time here, and we definitely will keep this place in mind when we want to have a special date night and get all dressed up. It was business casual; however, we did see some people in jeans. I recommend reservations here as it does get busy, and parking on metered side streets is available along with parking attendants available in front of the restaurant.

Food: just ok for the price. Ordered medium rare meat, got medium and not very flavorful. Creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes were good enough not great. Caesar salad was weak, too light on the dressing, too stalky. Service: a bit slow, sat down at 8:15, 10-15 minutes before we saw our server. Main course came at 9 and we finished at 10:15. Entertainment was a plus, great solo rat pack singer. Overall just ok, we had higher expectations but that’s based on a House of Prime Rib comparison.

This restaurant is on California Street. They will tell you it is on bonanza, but that’s a lie. The valet parking is on California Street. They charge $15, even though the sign says parking compliments of the restaurant. The food, in general, is very good. The so-called mixed salad consists of some kind of greens two slices of apple at a bit of blue cheese. Probably you should go for the Caesar. The prime rib is great. The smallest card is only two dollars cheaper than the regular cut. Ignore it My wife asked for an end cut. This was an error. We received an enormous slab of meat, not attractive, not particularly medium rare, not marbled, not good. I suppose it will make a decent roast beef hash tomorrow night. I had both the creamed corn and the creamed spinach as my sides and enjoyed them both especially the corn This restaurant is saving money by not serving bread and butter, but there was so much food that was probably a good thing. I really didn’t need to eat anymore. The price at first seems high, but since it includes the salad and sides, it was actually reasonable. I thought the service was excellent. The ambience of the facility is quite nice although noisier than I would care for. Overall, I like this restaurant. It would only be for special occasions, where everyone wants prime rib. There is a seafood dish at a vegetarian dish on the menu to cover your quirky cousin. And remember that it is on California Street, regardless of anything the restaurant tells you

Prime rib was cooked just right, very tender, Service on point. Great décor. One area of improvement, need an extra vegetable side, they only had creamed spinach or creamed corn. Needed either steamed broccoli or grilled asparagus..
