    Come experience an abridged version of Chef Andrew Zimmerman's popular Chef's Menu before enjoying a night at the theater! In collaboration with Chicago's vibrant theater community, we bring you the best way to enjoy Proxi in a shorter format to allow for a quick dinner before a show. The menu features a first course of sharables for the table, followed by a choice entree course, and family style dessert, all highlighting our kitchen team's globe-trotting, award-winning style. Available Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for your pre-theater experience.

    Proxi is a great spot for dinner with co workers. The food is unique, delicious and has great presentation. The staff is very friendly and attentive but not too much. Definitely give it a try!

    Everything was superb, well portioned, and service was friendly and well paced—and not intrusive. The appetizers were particularly FAB: crudo in a cilantro coconut puddle, oysters with yuzu mignonette, and foie gras in steamed buns with just the right amount of sweet. Mains: lobster with chewy Korean noodle and crispy-skinned striped bass. Delicious with sauces that were balanced and not overwhelming the food. Dessert: coconut thai tea ice cream. YUM. But green curry banana sundae with fish sauce caramel was weird (the only thing on our menu where risky creativity didn't quite work).

    We chose the pre-theatre menu for $65 per person and our dinner was excellent and perfectly timed. Such an easy walk to the Lyric Opera House for the Joffrey Ballet - staff are friendly and so well trained! We will be back

    We came to Proxi for a chef pop-up but having dined here a few times previously I knew the meal would be fantastic. In addition to the pop-up we ordered two vegetable dishes from the Proxi menu. The tempura elotes is an absolute must and for a refreshing and flavorful dish, the fennel apple chaat is your dish. We sat at the chef’s counter which I highly recommend for a chance to watch the action.

    Our dinner was absolutely delicious. We had 5 courses, and each one was superb. Elotes, Tamales, Kofta, Chaat and Foi Gras. Our waiter Jordan was excellent. Highly recommend Proxi
