I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Queen’s Head Pub in Harpenden, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming blend of traditional pub decor and modern touches. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The fish and chips were particularly noteworthy – crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just perfect! The pub also boasts a great selection of drinks, including some excellent local ales and a well-curated wine list. The cozy seating areas and the lovely outdoor garden made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends. Overall, The Queen’s Head Pub exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Harpenden.

Food and atmosphere were fine but unfortunately we found it much too noisy , we were unable to have a proper conversation. This was partly due to the decor and also because we had a party of 6 on next table. We didn’t appreciate 2 large dogs in the restaurant area either.

Had a lovely meal, service was amazing would definitely recommend, just don't get sat under a speaker!

Pub pretty empty on the Saturday night we went but appreciate the pub can't really influence this. Cold, had to keep my coat on. Food ok, hot. Service really good. Good value for money.

Friendly staff and pleasant ambience. Good food menu too (although no steak) and enjoyed my home made steak and ale pie

Lovely bar staff, attentive and friendly and couldn’t speak more highly. Food was just very average. Onion rings were really greasy and chicken burger was a bit disappointing but kids were happy to be fair with sausage and (decent looking) mash and a burger. Think ok for a quick dinner with your pint and a cracking beer garden and the football set up is really good!

Where to start? We have always enjoyed our visits to this pub but everything has changed in that the food was fabulous, perfectly cooked, presented and served. Their team were fun, helpful and attentive but not lingering, excellent just excellent. Live Jazz helped but pretty sure that it would have been a great experience even if there was no entertainment.
