This restaurant has completely gone downhill it used to be on the upper west side when it was called Haru and the food was exceptional. I used to go at least once a week. I’ve tried it twice now at this new location and it’s absolutely awful. The food quality is terrible terrible terrible

Mediocre sushi at best. Rice is hard and stale, flavorless sushi. Not horrible but mediocre and a slight step above super market sushi. Just don’t go.

I used to frequent the calm, elegant, bustling sushi & Japanese eatery that was here before. Now, the place is jarring, so much red and poor art, and blasting music with a country bent… it is no longer a lovely Japanese experience where I could meet clients or friends. Neither the server nor the host cleaned up or offered to clean up spilled sauce on the table that happened when they sat me, though there were only 3 tables of people in the entire place, at the height of lunch hour. The restaurant & sushi bar that was once so busy was empty, and not as clean overall. I would not eat sushi there. A disappointing experience.

The restaurant is my son’s favorite spot. We took him there for his birthday and we loved it. My husband never had sushi before and he was surprised with the texture and the taste of the food. He was happy with the selection of the restaurant.
