With just 5 tables and 10 sushi counters, RAI offers the finest yet affordable Omakase experience in London. Experience the essence of “omakase,” which means “I’ll leave it up to you,”. Performed right in front of you by Chef Padam, each plate demonstrates a different level of craftsmanship. Watch as our chef expertly prepares sushi and stamps it with speciality binchotan charcoal for charred flavour, served with 5-year-old soy sauce & rare freshly grated Japanese wasabi.

From start to finish we cannot thought the experience. One of the best dining experiences we have had in London Can’t wait to come back

The courses were all amazing. The scallops and the negiri being particular highlights Staff were all welcoming and it was a delight to watch the chefs work For what you get, it’s very reasonably priced (you will spend a lot but you will be glad you did)

Excellent and entertaining Omakase which was extremely good value for London. We will definitely visit again and are looking forward to trying sister restaurants Kibako and Hotstone.

Chef Rai is highly entertaining. The food was inventive, i appreciate taking risks which by and large worked well. highlights were the scallops and black cod. General service was good, informative but a little too sales-y for a true fine dining restaurant, seemed to be trying to make an extra buck rather than allow for the most enjoyable experience.

Absolutely amazing experience, delicious omacase with every dish being a discovery and top quality, and a very personal welcome by Chef Padam! Truly outstanding and top-notch by all dimensions!

Rai is an amazing place to eat. Their omakase menu is outstanding and lovely ambiance. The chef, and the servers are very attentive and knowledgeable and can tell they are professional. Will be back again. Love the changes in menu. Keeps it exciting.

Absolutely incredible experience at Rai! I had the 9-course omakase and honestly, every dish was a work of art. The sashimi was so fresh it melted in my mouth, the A5 wagyu was next-level buttery, and the sushi? Perfection. Every bite was packed with flavour and felt so carefully put together. The atmosphere was intimate and elegant without feeling pretentious, and the service was just as impressive as the food—super friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience feel special. If you’re into Japanese fine dining, this place is a must. Already thinking about when I can go back!

When we arrived on time we were told our table was not ready, which wasn’t a problem and we could wait in the ‘Lounge’. The Lounge turned out to be a couple of tables in a Lift Lobby Area of a building to the side of the Resturant. People were walking in and out to get to their AirBnB’s past us. We waited there for 15minutes with no service for even drinks in this area. The food was good, and the service once we sat down was fine, though the Resturant is very small and every time some entered and the door opened a very cold gust of air would rush in, the couple on the table next to us complained about it as they were closer to the door. The end of the meal was odd also, whilst we were paying the bill and finishing our wine we were asked to leave the table and sit at the bar counter as they needed to turn the table around for the next guests. Overall good food and decent service whilst we were having the tasting menu, but seamed over busy and not a polished experience for the price we paid. Perhaps it was overly busy because it was Valentines Day, but not handled well.
