Performed right in front of you by Chef Padam, each plate demonstrates a different level of craftsmanship. Absolutely incredible experience at Rai! I had the 9-course omakase and honestly, every dish was a work of art. The sashimi was so fresh it melted in my mouth, the A5 wagyu was next-level buttery, and the sushi? Perfection. Every bite was packed with flavour and felt so carefully put together. The atmosphere was intimate and elegant without feeling pretentious, and the service was just as impressive as the food—super friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience feel special. If you’re into Japanese fine dining, this place is a must. Already thinking about when I can go back!

When we arrived on time we were told our table was not ready, which wasn’t a problem and we could wait in the ‘Lounge’. The Lounge turned out to be a couple of tables in a Lift Lobby Area of a building to the side of the Resturant. People were walking in and out to get to their AirBnB’s past us. We waited there for 15minutes with no service for even drinks in this area. The food was good, and the service once we sat down was fine, though the Resturant is very small and every time some entered and the door opened a very cold gust of air would rush in, the couple on the table next to us complained about it as they were closer to the door. The end of the meal was odd also, whilst we were paying the bill and finishing our wine we were asked to leave the table and sit at the bar counter as they needed to turn the table around for the next guests. Overall good food and decent service whilst we were having the tasting menu, but seamed over busy and not a polished experience for the price we paid. Perhaps it was overly busy because it was Valentines Day, but not handled well.

Booked for a surprise date night, the food, setting, atmosphere and service did not disappoint. We opted for the 13 course taster menu and the waiter helped us to test and pair a bottle of Sake. We were amazed with every dish that came out and wondered how each could maintain the high level consistency. We never felt rushed and had a great chat with our waiter who was very knowledgeable on the dishes and ingredients. Absolutely highly recommend and certainly worth the value. You definitely get what you pay for here. Will definitely visit again soon. Thank you for your service and wonderful experience.

A very delicious tasting menu - we upgraded to have the chef’s special omakase nigiri which was £20 more for 2 nigiri so wasn’t worth it. But the menu itself was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. Great atmosphere with beautiful Japanese garden scenery around the tables.

The food was fabulous, but the service was quite slow It takes 30 mins to get next dish and sitting empty in plate half an hour

An exclusive omakase experience with great cuts of sashimi, flavourful food and friendly attentive staff. We got the 11-course omakase for my partner's birthday and the service and food were impeccable immediately. We have never had such amazing sashimi and Japanese food in London, every course was a different and amazing experience. The ingredients quality really makes a difference and we really enjoyed the nigiri made in front of us. The staff were extremely attentive and were very good with my allergies, making modifications to some of the food and it still tasted amazing! Big thank you to the team at Rai, we look forward to coming back soon!

La comida fue excepcional, aunque el servicio al principio fue interrumpido durante un tiempo excesivamente largo. Para mi gusto los gritos del cocinero aunque es simpático y lo hace para animar sobra en un sitio como este.
