   We were there on a Sunday but unfortunately they only had gammon or lamb available for Sunday lunch. The menu had all the usual meats listed so this was disappointing. I would suggest ringing them first if Sunday lunch is why you are going there on a Sunday.

   Great pub, great location, food very good value, and service not to bad,just needs a little more attention to the little things. Eg cutlery and condiments on tables would go a long way. Making waiting on a little easier. But well done keep it going. Food excellent.

   The service was the best but the chef was rude because she had to reopen the kitchen even tho we had a booking she closed early so she didn’t want to put the grill on to make a steak so we had to have buger instead

   Food dreadful and service horrendous, asked for a completely plain burger for my son, they brought it full of salad, sauce and cheese and insisted that was a “plain” burger and was quite rude to us. Sunday roast practically incinerated. Real shame as the actual building is very picturesque and a focal point, it could be an amazing pub.

   I’m sorry but when we arrived they had no idea of our booking. So I showed my email confirmation and they went back, had another look but said they hadn’t received my booking so we’re unable to serve us food

   Hi Jo, You seemed to have booked for a busy Saturday evening when England V France was playing. You shouldn't have been able to place your booking as we were already fully booked for that date and indeed we never received it. My manager offered a round of drinks as an apology which you gladly accepted and you asked for her to look after your coats behind the bar which she did even though we do not normally do this, especially during such busy times.    Booked a table for 4 as it was Bonfire Night. Had to wait a few minutes while it was being cleaned but no probs in ordering drinks. The staff were very busy and the pub was full but orders were taken promptly at the bar. It was noisy when customers got excited over the TV football, but only to be expected. Food came promptly and in good portions. It’s not fine dining but there was an an extensive menu and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended if you’re passing through Ramsbottom and just want a family pub with decent food in a nice location.

    Good choice of food for adults and children and great portion size. Having to go to the bar to order was not an issue but there was only 1 bar tender at the time we were there taking food orders and serving drinks which was not enough.
