   Lovely Afternoon Tea experience as always. We enjoyed ourselves very much indeed. Wonderful service by Rose who was attentive, detail oriented, proffesional, and a pure joy to meet. She was very sweet to record a short video of my friend & myself in place of photos. There's no Afternoon Tea experience in Virginia Beach quite like the Afternoon Tea at the Cavalier. Unmatched in ambience, service and the food offered.

   We made a reservation for an afternoon tea in the Raleigh room. I had received a call the day before to confirm, which I confirmed with her that we would be there. When we showed up the woman working said that she did not see a reservation and that she would ask her manager. Her manager was actually the one that had called me to confirm on the phone. Then the woman came back and told me that I had made a reservation for the wrong place. After I showed her my OpenTable reservation, she then told her other manager that the first manager forgot about us. we sat at 1:15 and saw all of our tea items sitting about 20 feet away from us for 45 minutes until they were brought to us. The server was trying very hard, but it just seemed very mismanaged.

   I am a vegetarian and the amount of money you guys charge there should be more vegetarian sandwiches to offer than your cucumber sandwiches. I mean this is just absolutely ridiculous. This happens every single time I am there.

   We had a great visit to the Raleigh Room for afternoon tea. The ambiance was great. The food was great. The tea was however cold:( Also, we were there for my bridal lunch and the piano playing was wayyyyyy too loud. I felt like I was a a club having to shout at my bridesmaids to have a conversation. Very disturbing and very opposite of an afternoon tea. We were very unhappy.

   The food was mediocre at best. The fish sandwich smelled strongly of fish and was unappetizing. We were near the back of the room but the piano was so loud we couldn’t hear each other

   This place was so lovely, I felt like I was in another time era. Loved this place and the tea was so much fun! I will definitely be going there again soon!!

   I enjoyed the experience. I thought that we would be in a separate room, more intimate. My friend and I were seated before the other two guest arrived and it took about 20 minutes for someone to come over to us, I had to ask for water. Our server was knowledgeable. Our tea was served cold and the menu did not accommodate pescatarian lifestyle, I was offered salad because the only selection was fish salad sandwiches. I would go again in hopes for a better experience.

   It would be best to go as a small group of 2-3 as they were severely understaffed. We had a group of five and we were only given one pot of hot water for the five of us so we kept running out, but because they were understaffed we went a long time without water. Which was bad because the tea is the whole point. We were also given the same amount of spreads for five people as the parties of two people, we ran out of the spreads and they did not give anymore, but how can the amount of spreads for two people be the same for five?! We kept asking for more water because of the one pot for five people, and when we asked for more jam the server had a terrible attitude. It is not our fault they were understaffed. Overall we would not do it again.
