Rampoldi, located near Lincoln Center, Central Park and Columbus Circle, under the guidance of Michelin-starred Chef Antonio Salvatore, partner of MC Hospitality Group has opened their first New York location, offering same feel and menu as its original location in Monaco.
Opened in 1946 in the heart of the Principality of Monaco, nowadays Rampoldi is an institution and a symbol of Monte Carlo. Over the years it became a place where local and international celebrities meet, so the restaurant decided to widen its brand overseas in the city of the American dream, New York.
Label of luxury, class, and sophistication all over the world, Rampoldi spreads the Monegasque way of life and the peaceful elegance of the Côte d’Azur: the inheritance of what embodies the soul of Monte Carlo from more than seven decades opens to future and new challenges.

A grand marble space with comfy banquets bathed in lurid red light (and without a single window but a lot of mirrors) signals this is not your ordinary gourmet NYC restaurant chasing overflowing with small plates and organic everything. Farm to table? Nope. But the exquisitely prepared food must come from somewhere. The capacious menu bucks the minimalist trend and the receipts are so dated that it almost feels... original. Do they have shrimp cocktail? Yes. Do they have beef tartar? Yes again. Dover sole? Check. How about beef Rossini, last seen sometime circa 1973 on a plate at Le Cirque? You got it. The waiters wear white coats like extras from a "Casablanca" remake while the maitre d' and his fellow captains wear suits so tight they may well be sprayed on. Descending the marble stairs to the bathroom you might think you are going to a King Tut-themed escape room or a high roller room in Vegas,... Late Roger Moore James Bond would have liked this place (no chocolate bombe on the menu but they do have Grand Marnier soufflé). It ain't exactly cheap, but given the location -- steps from Lincoln center -- and the quality of the food on offer as well as its mostly successful attempt to conform to European service standards, its worth a go.

They did a spectacular renovation. It is a high-end restaurant and not only is the food perfect, but the sound level is low, and you can hear everyone at the table.

Rampoldi has become our go-to for special occasions, and our latest visit proved why. The elegant yet inviting ambiance set the stage for an unforgettable evening. I had the eggplant parmesan, rich and flavorful, while my wife’s halibut was perfectly cooked. The service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive. Rampoldi consistently exceeds expectations, and we can’t wait to return!
