Red Hill Estate : a destination not to be missed on the Mornington Peninsula - turning your small moments into unforgettable ones.

Drawing inspiration from the Fabrizio family's wine odyssey, which began in Torino de Sangro—a town nestled between the mountains and the sea in Italy's Abruzzo region— the maritime-influenced slopes of the Mornington Peninsula hinterland are home to the iconic Red Hill Estate; a new venue sparks the beginning of a new chapter, offering food and wine experiences in a relaxed dining area with views of the kitchen garden and olive trees.

Restaurant bookings are available at 11:45am, 12:00pm, 12:15pm or 2:00pm, 2:15pm, 2:30pm for a duration of two hours.
Wine Experience bookings are available at 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:00pm for a duration of 45 minutes.

Walk-ins are welcome but bookings are recommended. For groups larger than 20 guests or function enquiries please email info@redhillestate.com.au.

Our wine guide was excellent, very informative and he made us very comfortable. Sally was also helpful and friendly, enjoyed muchly!

I think that the concept is good. We will definitely go back again when it’s not such a hot day. The air-conditioners did not provide any comfort and the glass windows allowed Heati to come straight in. Think they underestimated this with their build. I also think that they were caught by surprise with how busy they were going to be taking this in consideration. We will definitely be back to try it again as the food was lovely and the concept .

Food was delicious. Wine pretty good also. Good value for a winery. Small problem with a wrong order but otherwise very good. Will be back.

Very very noisy! Understand that the acoustics are being lowered. Otherwise great restaurant!

They are so understaffed. There were so many people and not enough staff for all the people they had. The place is also super noisy which is annoying when you are trying to have a conversation or you have been waiting for your meal more than an hour. Our food arrived one plate at a time, which meant I ate my main meal by myself and everyone was starving looking at me eating. Same thing happened with my husband and his spaghetti, which arrived once I had finished my main meal and by the time our kids pizzas arrived they were swimming in olive oil, even though we requested not to have olive oil on top of them. The waiter pretended to take a note of it, but when the pizzas arrived they were swimming in olive oil. A staff member came to tell us that the olive oil was in the pizza salsa which clearly wasn’t - the olive oil was on top and it was excessive. The waiter didn’t bother writing ‘no olive oil’ and our kids had to wait more than an hour for their meal, and it arrived ignoring the request we gave them of no olive oil.

The food, wine was poor value for money in a place with little atmosphere. Service difficult even though it was busy which we understood. We ordered a pre-lunch drink which never arrived and were in and out in 45 mins.

We had a fabulous lunch. Food was wonderful and the service fantastic. It got a little noisy as it got busier but that’s more an observation than a complaint. We highly recommend! And if you go just to do a tasting, their wines are excellent!

The food was superb and within the menu were a range of options to suit anyone from the simplest of diners to those hoping to try something different. The ingredients in the dishes were of high quality with my husband saying that it was the best spag bol he'd ever tasted. And the prawns were absolutely mouth-watering as well as the gluten free bread - so light. It was so good to dine at such a venue of high standard without the menu being pretentious and having 20 ingredients described in detail as is often the case these days. The noise though was intense - nightclub noisy. We had to yell to hear each other which we managed but it did limit the conversation. I suggest going when it's not so busy and hopefully at some stage the owners will look at managing the sound in the future.
