Situated in the heart of Cranford near Kettering a village steeped in history & the pub being the mainstay since the 1700’s.

Head Chef Ben Drury brings loads of experience by bring people together with our love of great food and drink delivered with passion.

Priding ourselves on being ECO-local we have reduced our carbon footprint by using local produce, recycling & upcycling as much as possible as well as providing waste for Bio Fuel. #EcoLocalRedLion.

Excellent food and service. Our party of seven included two coeliac guests and we were all catered for exceptionally well. A good Sunday lunch menu, (with coeliac options). Tasty well prepared food, with good portions, and although the restaurant was full, service was exceptional. Plenty of staff on hand. Prices probably ‘top end’ for this type of establishment, but you ‘get what you pay for’. Overall a great birthday lunch.

Family meal for 4 to celebrate Mum’s 92nd birthday. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they coped with one of our party arriving late due to Friday night traffic or my elderly Mum asking for her veg to be cooked extra soft on a very busy night. The only small criticism would be that the position of our table made it feel quite cramped, and with full tables very close it was quite noisy so Mum had difficulty hearing our conversation. The food was very tasty and plentiful. To top the evening off the staff even found time to create a Happy Birthday sweet platter complete with candle for Mum at the end of the meal. Thank you

We have been here a number of times but this time was the last. Although you can’t fault the venue or service at £30.00 for a nut roast Sunday lunch I find it to rich for my taste when it wasn’t anything special. But if you are busy I guess you can charge what you want!

Haggis scotch eggs were superb. We both had hanging kebabs lamb & chicken they were both cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Butterscotch bread & butter pudding!!

Food is normally excellent but I was really disappointed in calamari starter. Felt undercooked and not crispy. Not upto the usual standard. Chicken milanese was not as lovely as I have had before. Maybe just an off night? Service excellent and enjoyed the bubbles.
