    The restaurant was extremely short staffed. We waited 15 minutes to put in a drink order after being seated. The server was very pleasant and tried his best, but it was clear he had no help and lots of tables. We requested my 3 year lid’s food come out first right after our drinks, and I had to give him my plate while wa waited for an order of fries. The server did a great job based on being there by himself.

    The hostess was a young man who seemed to not care about his job. He greeted us and I told him I added my name to the wait list, there was no wait but he laughed at me and said the wait list doesn’t matter anyway. I have been to many other locations and they honor it but apparently this one doesn’t or he doesn’t get it. The service was very slow they seemed to be short staffed and the kitchen must have been backed up as it took a while to even get our drinks and an appetizer. The food is not up to par with how it used to be. The restaurant was fairly empty so there does not seem to be a reasonable explanation for the long delays in food and service. Aside from the biscuits everything else was not as good and I was disappointed.

    First, let me preface by saying that I have worked good service in the past and know if the difficulties of the job. That being said….One of the worse dinning experiences I’ve had. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. I’ll try to explain without getting into too many detail. From the time we sat until partial entrees arrived - 1hr and 40 minutes The reason was, per the waiters who was mostly absent, to many TO GO orders. Waited 35 minutes for an appetizer. A side item from one of the entrees was brought out with the appetizer!!! Another side item was completely forgotten about until I reminded the waiter about it!!! Lastly, I took an hour and 20 minutes to get a drink from the bar, which had 4-6 customers the majority of the evening. The bar must have had TO GO orders also. The entire experience was upsetting. The lack of explanation until well after an hour of waiting was just ridiculous. Will definitely NOT be returning.

    Friendly, professional service, great food. Took over an hour for our meal. But was delicious once served.

    We had a open table reservation last night at Red Lobster in Matthews NC and the restaurant personnel had no idea what to do with our reservation. This is the third time this has happened and it is really frustrating. My wife had the new Lobster and shrimp tacos and was very disappointed. There was so much breading on the meat it was not possible to even taste what it was, but my fish sandwich was delicious.

    We waiting too long for our appetizer, then salads never showed up. Server was only a week on the job - she looked overwhelmed and didn’t appear to be properly trained. Not going back anytime soon

    Food was excellent. Crystal was our server and she was phenomenal! Very attentive and observant.

    Not sure what happened to this place, it used to have good food. The cheese biscuit is a little salty. The lobster is so tiny, it looks like prawn. It has a moldy smell where we sat at and a mop next to where I was sitting. Also, while waiting to be seated, the cook, chef or kitchen staff came out looking like it’s nobodys business with his dirty blue apron and went to the bathroom, what a turn off. I hope he washed his hand when he went back to the kitchen. I have to say though our waitress was very nice and very attentive. I forgot her name. We were suprised that the place was not as busy like it used to be. I think this place needs some TLC.
