   They were out of several items on an already somewhat small menu. Lamb entree and a yam side dish, specifically—neither difficult to source. And parking is an issue—$16 to park in the public lot next door—and they don’t answer the phone to offer parking suggestions.

   We had two plates of the oxtails and grits and one shrimp and grits from the brunch menu and they were both delicious! The brown sugar wings were good too! The cornbread was nice and soft and the jam and butter made a perfect pairing!

   My friends and I went to Red Rooster for a birthday brunch. Red Rooster in Overtown has an incredible dining experience with its vibrant ambiance. I highly recommend the brown sugar wings; they are a delightful balance of sweet and savory, bursting with flavor in every bite. Overall, Red Rooster is a fantastic spot that beautifully blends great food with a lively atmosphere, making it a must-visit!

   Our server Carlos was fantastic! He made multiple suggestions that were spot on. The Oxtail Pepper Pot was delicious and a nice size portion for sharing between two people. Highly recommend the Mac and Cheese. For starters the M’s Cornbread and Tuna Tiradito are a few can’t miss options. Decor takes you to another place. Well suited to the Miami area. Cool design and well thought out space. Will definitely go back!

   Pasta was great! Service was very poor. Starters arrived before pre-drinks. Entrees were brought to the table before we had even finished the starters. The wine supposed to be paired to the main course was served halfway through our meal. Our waitress were super polite, however, kitchen and serving staff was completely unsynced. Will not visit again nor recommend.

   Been here a few times when Tyrease was the manager. It was always great service. The new manager was not as pleasant. We were celebrating a birthday and the atmosphere is just not the same. I planned to celebrate my next birthday there and have now decided against it. Food was good. A little pricey. Customer service needs to be improved and overall experience. Especially for first timers.

   When this location first opened I highly rated and recommended for happy hour and dinner. This is my first visit for a holiday meal buffet. Overpriced, the greens were over seasoned, had to tell the server to clear our table twice. I wasn't impressed with the food at all. The water pressure was so very low in the bathroom, it was difficult to was my hands.

   Service was well below average, starting with the hostess…two other parties of two were seated prior to us 🤷🏻‍♀️ food was cold, ribs and rib eye were good but cold, salads terrible, Mac and cheese was dry, greens 😱, brussel sprouts tasted like they were about to go bad…I could go on, but I’d rather not continue going down bad memory lane!

    This Christmas, my girlfriend and I decided to celebrate at Red Rooster, and it undoubtedly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was captivating, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff at Red Rooster were exceptional. They were professional and attentive while maintaining a friendly and kind demeanor, which greatly enhanced our dining experience. It truly felt like they were happy to have us there, adding a personal touch to the evening. The highlight, of course, was the food. Red Rooster offered a diverse buffet selection that was both creative and of high quality. We started with the oxtail fried rice, which was rich and flavorful. The soul food paella was another standout dish, with ribs that literally fell off the bone, paired perfectly with crispy, well-seasoned fried fish. The prime rib was juicy and cooked to perfection, embodying the essence of holiday dining. Every dish we tasted was a testament to Red Rooster's commitment to quality and creativity in their menu. This made our Christmas meal not just a dinner, but an experience in itself. Overall, I would rate our experience a 10/10. Red Rooster made our holiday celebration truly special, and we will definitely be returning.
