Ordered the Valentine special : oyster (excellent) crab cake (excellent) filet mignon (medium- very grisly and chewy lacking flavor and seasoning -terrible for a filet mignon) lobster ( it was decent, I’d give it a 5 on a 1-10 ) mouse cake dessert was good. Service was very good. Frank Sinatra impersonater signing was really good.

We made a reservation for a 545PM dinner on 1/17 and promptly showed up to said reservation with 13 people only for Red Tail to inform us that their kitchen closes at 6PM and they would not seat us. Although this is not a reflection of Open Table, the communication between the restaurant and Open Table needs to be fixed. It should never allow us to make a reservation if they were closing at 6PM.

We had our wedding reception at this location in 1977. A lot has happened over the years. Floods have washed away parts of the golf course, buildings, and parking lots. Children and relatives have worked at the facility. Our church holds its annual Christmas party here. Needless to say, we have strong feelings about this resort and the people who work here. The breakfast menu is a bit sparse but with creative items on tap. If there's nothing to your fancy, ask; they can probably accommodate you. My favorite is the "Chicken and Waffles". All of the dishes are amazingly fresh and big enough to share. Prices are still on the cheaper side, compared to a typical breakfast out. The view of the golf course is serene, with trees, flowers and water features. You have the option of eating in the restaurant, on the back terrace or on the shady side patio adjacent to the full-service bar. The wait staff are amazing, with attentive service. It is rare to have to ask for a refill of anything. That usually only happens when there are several large family groups (be sure to reserve ahead so you won't be disappointed with a long wait). We can't say enough good things about The Red Tail. Try it.
