    The staff were welcoming and very attentive. Ambiance great and menu was terrific! Great place to eat before a Carnegie Hall concert.

    We requested a quiet table and got one in the bag. The gentleman at the door was a wonderful, old-fashioned maitre d’. The restaurant was almost empty, so the quiet table was easy to acquire. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We ordered two simple breakfasts, for which we waited 30 minutes, with no explanation or apology for the long wait. Then after the food came, they forgot one of the essential side dishes I had ordered, and if I hadn’t mentioned it, it never would’ve arrived. It was bacon, and it really was not that good; the problem was at the server at no point apologized, or even reacted to the fact that we have been waiting a long time, and that they had forgotten various elements. We had to flag down someone else when we wanted our check, and then still had to wait a long time. When I went to the server on my way out, and tried as nicely as I could be constructive about the lack of any attention at our table or acknowledgment of the problems, she did not seem to take it very well. I doubt I’ll come back, not just because of the individual server, that’s easily remedied, but because of the food itself was mediocre, and is much more expensive than it should be given its quality . Only positive thing I can really say is that it’s a beautiful place and very comfortable and has a great location. And maybe during busy hours when everything is up and running, maybe the food is better too.

    The place is just "OK". Nothing special or memorable. Had different sushi rolls for lunch - not much better than you can get at a local Korean deli - but 2-3 times more expensive. Topped off with a $25 blah tuna tartare.

    Normally meals here are very good. It seems it was an off day—fish was overcooked & accompanying sauce was over salted. Cheesecake was not fresh.

    We were greeted by a very welcoming gentleman, shown to our comfortable seats. The service was a bit slow but there were only 2 waiters for the whole floor. We were not in a rush. Food was excellent. I’d come back!!

    Food was exceptional! We loved the brussel sprouts side dish and everyone was very pleased with their seafood dishes - orange roughy special, grilled salmon and halibut dinners. Kudos!

    We’ve been dining here for more than 20 years. Always a very enjoyable experience. Food very good with varied menu. Our server Rene exemplifies what top notch service should be.
