RedFarm brings a greenmarket sensibility to modern and inventive Chinese food and super-charged dim sum complemented by modern, rustic décor. Joe Ng’s menu takes a clean, fresh approach to Chinese food. Signature items include clever dim sum creations for which Ng is known and small plates: Pac Man dumplings; yuzu wasabi shrimp; mushroom spring rolls that evoke a chanterelle mushroom; and a sculptural chicken salad. Modern takes on classic main dishes includes remarkably tender marinated rib steak with steamed baby bok choy and spicy steamed sea bass.

    Overall the Rad Farm experience is fun, though it will be tempered by the high cost of most plates and cocktails. It's not as bad as Old Thousand or Wu Chow rebranding simple, inexpensive Asian dishes and charging a lot for them, but it obviously assumes customers haven't dined on Asian food in New York or LA. The service was sometimes friendly, but mostly lackluster. Initial drinks took a long time to arrive. Main courses were presented haphazardly in no discernible order. We enjoyed what got, and may go back to try weekend Dim Sum brunch, but otherwise will leave to the tourists.

    The service was exceptional! The drinks were great! We didn’t like the shrimp stuffed chicken but the BBQ’d Duck and noodles was amazing!!!!

    First time, wonderful experience. Server was on point and very knowledgeable about the restaurant and its best dishes and drinks. Treated us with ultimate professionalism and kindness.

    1. We booked this table several weeks in advance. When we arrived, the area that we requested to be seated in was unavailable. 2. The waitress only acknowledged my husband over the course of the meal. It was remarkable and weird. Every time she approached the table she spoke only to him and positioned her entire body to face only him. Really really strange behavior.

    Seating was on the side patio, not on the main patio. Felt cheap, no ambiance, no lighting and extremely inconsiderate considering I made the reservation weeks prior. The server forgot to bring our drinks to us and didn’t place our entire order with the kitchen so we had to wait a while to receive our full meal. The only attentive person was the individual filling our water!
