RedFarm brings a greenmarket sensibility to modern and inventive Chinese food and super-charged dim sum complemented by modern, rustic décor. Joe Ng’s menu takes a clean, fresh approach to Chinese food. Signature items include clever dim sum creations for which Ng is known and small plates: Pac Man dumplings; yuzu wasabi shrimp; mushroom spring rolls that evoke a chanterelle mushroom; and a sculptural chicken salad. Modern takes on classic main dishes includes remarkably tender marinated rib steak with steamed baby bok choy and spicy steamed sea bass.

RedFarm is located at 201 West 3rd St., in Downtown Austin, at the corner of West 3rd and Colorado Streets.

    The food was fine. Nothing we had was amazing. I didn’t love that they made you order everything all at once so we ended up ordering way too much food than if we’d been able to order a few things and then add to it. The atmosphere was good. Not busy on a Tuesday night and Quiet enough to have a conversation.

    Food is good. A feel like they have too many fried dumplings. I prefer steamed or pan fried steamed. Price is also a tad high for the portion sizes. I prefer Qi Austin, Lins Asian, or wu chow

    This is a culinary experience you must have when you’re in Austin. Creativity and array of flavors ignite your tastebuds. I went back twice within a four day period trying different items from the menu each time. EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING!! The entire staff was so attentive, courteous and displayed such a high degree of professionalism on both visits. Food was displayed in a creative and appealing manner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. Totally enjoyed my dining experience . Thank you !!!

    Amazing service! One of us has Celiac’s so we have to eat gluten free. Our server was amazing helping clarify what could or could not be done gluten free. Great drinks, perfect crispy duck, and one of the only gluten free dumpling spots we have found so far!
