   Server was very kind & attentive. Food was so-so, not really worth the price in my opinion (we had prime rib special, snapper and seafood cioppino). Chef seems to enjoy using tomatoes in many of the dishes (chicken piccata, snapper, seafood cioppino) which is unusual. Ambiance was lovely (we sat outside) but sadly the musical entertainment wasn’t great; choice of songs was nice but delivery not-so-much. With all of the great restaurant offerings in Islamorada I don’t think we’ll return to ReelCatch.

   Had never been here before. Tried it on a quiet Monday night and was pleasantly surprised. Was skeptical when we walked in because at 6:30 bar and dining room were empty but it was a whole different vibe outside. Service was very attentive and timely. Food was delicious. Very nice surprise!

   The staff were sociable and efficient but some misunderstanding of language. The restaurant adjoins the bar area of the Amara Hotel in which loud and not very good music and singing was played by a local artiste. The air con was too cold. Our calamari starter was overpriced and too large for one portion. We shared and could not eat it all. The calamari tasted fresh but the batter was overcooked as was the aubergine. Too greasy. Our main meal followed our starter too quickly. The prawns were very fresh tasting and generally the linguini and sauce was pleasant but the amount of garlic overpowered the taste. Again we could not eat it all. Disappointed.

   Unfortunately, there was a language barrier from our waitress. She didn’t understand English very well we asked for kettle one vodka club and lime she asked us if we could spell it for her on the paper?? we ordered the appetizer she came back to pick up our menus and we said we have not ordered our entrée yet she seem to be new at her job and with a huge language barrier there should’ve been another experienced waiter with her explaining how to do everything, my friends were there Thursday night and they had a amazing experience. The waiter was a guy will try again another day

   Our server was fantastic. The fried calamari was nothing special but the entrees were fantastic (the corvina and the lobster mac and cheese).

    Delicious food! We had the Burrata and Shrimp fettuccine. Although they were busy the staff was working hard and trying their best to accommodate. We enjoyed relaxing outside with the live music and beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend even if not staying at the Amara Cay Resort.
